MADDIE POV *Everyone, continue on. Giselle, Marvin and I will stay and speak with these men.* I say. I can tell several want to argue with me, but I motion them forward and they reluctantly follow my orders. I watch as they all continue before I drop down from the tree to speak with these hog shifters. I know I’m taking a chance by revealing myself, but their conversation says all they want is help keeping their families safe and are willing to hire themselves out to do that. “Good morning, gentlemen.” I say startling them all. I see several beginning their shifts into their hog forms when Giselle drops down and waves her hand, halting the transformations. They all look stunned. “We aren’t here to fight you. I couldn’t help but overhear that you’re having issues with protection. Did you bring the problem to the shifter council?” I ask, but staying frosty and keeping an eye on these men.
