Dreaming of Flowers のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 51 - チャプター 60

I stop at the dresser before I crash to pick out a nightgown. I settle on a dark green one, a bit longer than my last one, but with a low front this time. So low if I moved wrong, I would be exposed. I would have to talk to Erik about getting some less revealing nighttime clothes. I stand in front of the many mirrors Erik had, examining myself before I get into bed. "Skit." I hear Erik mumbling suddenly from the entry way, muttering what kind of sounds like a curse as something falls to the ground. "Erik?" I ask, stepping off the mirror surrounded platform. I feel myself crossing my arms across my chest, and I stop a couple feet in front of him. He stands, and the look on his face makes my heart jump. He looks so flustered; his eyes won't stop moving. I can tell he's trying

In short, I've never been in this situation. I've never had to read what's coming next or know what I should be doing right now. "I've never even kissed anyone." I whisper, looking up at him through my lashes. "You're the first man to show interest in me like this." "That can't be true. Look at you." He sighs. He scoops me up then from my sitting position and lays me down, hovering over me for a moment. "You truly look like a goddess." He mutters, leaning down and kissing my shoulder. "Mann is dumb." I gasp as I feel his hand running down my stomach. My hips arch as he draws circles around my belly button with one finger. "You aren't lying. Look how sensitive you are." I look at him, begging for mercy almost. He laughs a little. "I'm not deflowering you tonight, don't worry.

"I just feel like you didn't need to hit her.""She wasn't going to come willingly.""You never tried to find out, did you?""She wears the sign of engagement with an Alva, Larkin. You see her ankle."A scoff. "She probably doesn't even know what that means. I just left her a couple days ago. That pretty boy couldn't have worked that fast.""They are fated.""Yeah, well, she came here for me."I groan loudly, wincing at the pain in my head and neck."Delilah." I hear shuffling and feel big warm hands on my elbow. "Go get her some water.""Yes sir." I hear a woman's voice reply bitterly."Larkin?" I question as my eyes finally pry themselves open and my surroundings start to come into focus."Hey, you okay? She hit you pretty hard." I wince and close my eyes again, sitting up from the bed I had been laying on to rub my head. Why was I always waking up in strange places?"Where am I? What's going on?" I look at him, blinking away the sleep and focusing on his blue eyes I was so familiar

Larkin is leaning against a tree outside, staring at the ground, I'm assuming listening to us bicker inside. "You ready?" He asks, smiling softly at me. I nod and follow after him. At least he didn't make me walk in front. And at least he hadn't slept with the whole town. "What are you showing me?" I ask as he guides me into the trees. He makes a humming noise but doesn't answer. "How have you and your fated been getting along well? Besides the obvious." He asks instead, walking ahead of me and holding tree branches out of my way. I think for a moment. "I don't think he's who you want to talk about." I play with the ends of my hair. He laughs, deep and rich sounding. I got that

How could a man this large treat me so delicately? Even as Larkin towered over me, totally covering my body with his own, he didn't lay on me. He didn't grind his hips into me, and his hands didn't grab at my thighs. He gently sampled the taste of my lips, so, so, softly. "You taste like dewdrops." He whispers, and then backs away, returning to his spot beside me. I lay there for a second, staring at the sky, collecting myself. "Why did you do that?" I finally sat up, moving my hair so it provided me with a security curtain between myself and his carefully watching eyes. Guilt was already flooding my body. I had been with Erik so recently, and now I was kissing another man. Who was I to preach about loyalty? "Becaus
