Audrey POV: I woke up to a throbbing pain in the side of my head, very much confused at my situation. The air stunk of antiseptic along with a strong scent of what registered in my mind as drugs. Something was wrong. I sat up immediately, regretting my action seconds later when an invisible string was pulled in my mind, snapping back and sending a shockwave through my head. I stifled my scream at the pain, eliciting a loud groan instead. Then I took cognizance of my surroundings. I was in a hospital bed, a thin blanket pulled up to my chin, and my head was wrapped in thick bandage, the material partially blinding me in my left eye. A soft, constant beeping sound filled the air, and I turned my head, my gaze falling on the unfamiliar machines beside my bed. Just then, there was the sound of a click.
