Dante POV “I’ve got you,” I murmured as she buried her face into my shirt, letting her tears fall freely, soaking into the fabric. She stayed in my arms for a while, until her heartbeat stopped racing and settled into a steady rhythm. Her tensed muscles relaxed, and she melted into me. Only when she had finally calmed down did she begin to pull away from my embrace.
