ALAANA POV I stood quietly in the shadows of my room, my heart pounding loudly. It's been two days now and I still haven't heard anything from William. I was terrified and confused.“Why is the Moon goddess punishing me this way? What have I done to deserve this” I said to myself.Two days now, since I stood in front of my Father, and told him that, “If William doesn’t come back, I will be going to the battlefield to look for him.” His only answer was gruff: "If he is truly your mate, he will come back." He had said.I remembered my Wolf growling when she heard those words. The Mate bond was weakening and crumbling. My Father ignored the fact that my Mate was out there struggling with his life, as if he was nothing.I have asked the healer's who attended to the injured warriors. They hadn't seen him also.I also question some of the warriors in case they are hiding anything from me . They too had no idea of where William was.William's name was not listed among the fallen warriors
