Caelan’s POVMy boots crunched against the gravel as I walked through the pack grounds. It was strange, knowing that I was home but I still felt like I wasn't home. Nothing had been the same ever since I woke up. Something had changed, and I had no idea if it was this place or if it was just me.“My king.” A warrior greeted me as he passed by.I nodded my head and allowed my gaze to roam over the pack.I was still getting used to all of this. The only thing I knew about myself was that I was king. The most revered king of Rogues, and this was my pack. However, I couldn't remember what had transpired in a long while. A few faces were unfamiliar.Like that of the girl who was dragged back into the pack yesterday.I noticed there were a few more people outside who looked at me with unhidden curiosity.I knew I was a mystery to them, a question that needed an answer, but I was far from having the knowledge they sought.I was just as clueless as they all were.Being alive was nothing short

Thorne POVHe doesn't rememberOf course he doesn't. That was the reason Caelan didn’t kill me as soon as he woke up.He had no idea I betrayed him. Earlier, when I went down to the dungeon, I overheard a large part of his conversations with Lyra, including the part where he said he lost his memories.Lyra was the only one left who knew what I did. I needed to get rid of her before she began to spill. That was the reason why I sent the warriors to drag her down. I was going to end this once and for all. She knew too much and needed to be silenced before she became a bigger problem. My door opened, and I turned to face the warriors that entered. I looked behind them.I raised an eyebrow. “Where is she?”The first warrior bowed his head. “The king instructed us to leave.”I balled my fists in anger.“Did you tell him I commanded you?” I asked. He nodded “yes.”Caelan was slowly becoming a big thorn in my flesh. The bond between him and Lyra was something that hadn't gone away even after

Lyra POVI placed my hand above my chest. It was beating fast, too fast. I almost couldn't control how I felt.Caelan and I almost shared a kiss.Almost.Our lips would have met if I didn't step away just in time. What was wrong with me? I shouldn't be feeling this way for him. Caelan was not a man I should feel anything for.He was not something I could handle.I was still caught up in my thoughts when the gates opened and two warriors came in.I scrambled to my feet, fearing the worst.Caelan had done his best to protect me in the past few days. It was almost as if he was trying to make sure I wasn't treated roughly. However, I knew his actions wouldn't last long, and one way or the other, Thorne would find a way to get rid of me.Maybe this was that time. One of the guards stayed behind me, while the other ushered me forward.I raised a brow in surprise.I slowly walked out, following the guards as they led me through the palace.“Where are we going? I askedThe guards gave me a s

“Caelan,” a woman’s voice filtered through a thick, misty smoke. I stood in the middle of it, submerged.“Caelan…” the voice came again. My ears perked up, and I turned around quickly, trying to find the owner of the voice. There was no one.“Who are you?” I called out.Like an illusion, a figure began to take form in the smoke, and a woman walked out, clad in white from her head to toes. The cloth she had over her face as a veil had a small part made of net that only gave you a glimpse at her eyes.I frowned. A witch. My claws elongated immediately, and I growled, threatening to attack. “Stay back.” I warned.Selene chuckled. “Are you scared of me?” I didn't take my gaze off her. “No. You are nothing more than a deceiver, a snake. I will not have you worm your way into my mind.”Selene shook her head and paced a little.“I'm not here for that. I care little about what darkness you hold in this head of yours.” She paused.“Why are you here then?” I asked. She smiled. “Because I h

Lyra POVI woke up with a loud gasp, shaking my head furiously. Water dripped from my face, and I shivered from the sudden cold that gripped me.“It's about time you woke up.” I heard a chilling voice say behind me.I pulled at my hand, and I was horrified to see that I was still tied to a chair. It's been three days.Three days since I was taken out of the Rogue pack and bound to this chair. It has been three days of torture and pain.My eyes flicked to the fresh wounds on my skin, and I groaned as a shiver washed over me.They started with wolfsbane, then tortured me with all kinds of silver-coated tools. The effects of the wolfsbane have slowed down the healing process, and more than ever I felt tremendous pain.My skin crawled at the presence of the person behind me.I still had no idea who ordered my kidnap, but from the kind of aura this wolf gave off, I knew he was in-charge, and I had a feeling I knew who it was.“Why are you doing this to me?” I growled, twisting my neck to t
