Love Prevails のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 161 - チャプター 170

While Meghan and Lloyd were busy preparing for the trip back to England, Morgan was busy preparing everything for spending an afternoon and evening with Annabelle. Morgan had asked Nancy to help him prepare a gourmet Sunday Roast with all the trimmings, enough for the evening and the family when they got home. The meal consisted of two types of meal; roast leg of lamb roasted in fragrances of mint, garlic and rosemary seasoning, gleamed till golden brown on the outside with a slight tinge of pink on the inside - juicy and succulent. The roast leg of pork marinated in garlic and fresh herbs roasted till the exterior crackled, leaving the outer layer a gorgeous dark golden brown. On the side were golden roasted potatoes that were roasted to perfection - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a side of extremely buttery mash seasoned with black pepper, salt and nutmeg for those who opted for a different type of potato, carrots and butternut mash wit

It was a little before 10 when Lloyd and Meghan left the doctors' rooms. Both anxious and nervous, Meghan said, "We're having twins!"Lloyd took her hand in his as they drove uptown to Hemmingway International. "I know, I'm so excited. We will need to go prepare the nurseries for both of them. Would you like to know what they are before they are born?" he bubbled on. "I don't know," she responded, "there's something magical in waiting till they are born to find out.""We have lots of time still," he said, but first we need to do an announcing ceremony." Lloyd could hardly contain himself. "Let me check who is available tonight," Meghan said, taking out her phone and calling her brother. "Squirt," he answered, picking up on the second ring. "Marshall, can you guys come home for just tonight please?" she asked, half begging."Why? What's up?" he asked. "Just do it," she responded, "it's an order.""U

Two weeks after the birth of the twins, Meghan and Lloyd invited everyone to the welcoming ceremony of their beautiful babies. The week prior, they had laid Chris's body to rest and Ruby had decided she was going to split her time luxuriously between her two children and her grandchildren. Though there were moments where Ruby desperately missed her husband, she was also relieved because she knew the type of man he was before, and she knew he would never have wanted to live like he had the past few years, so the relief was more in knowing that her beloved husband and best friend was at peace. At the office, Meghan had personally done the honor of asking Annabelle to be at the ceremony. Sam, who was lurking close by, threw the files on her desk in anger. "What makes her so damn special?" Sam sneered as she gave dagger looks at Annabelle. The office still had not been informed of the fact that Annabelle and Morgan were dating. "I choose w

As they stepped out of the reception hall, a gun shot rang out. Everyone ducked for cover. A scream bellowed through the air and a voice said "Die you bitch! Die!" the female voice shrieked, her voice dripping with malice. As the female screamed those words, Morgan looked around for Annabelle who was lying crumpled on the ground. Her beautiful pale green dress, stained crimson. Her hand pressed against her stomach as the blood seeped out. Time stood still. "Annabelle!" Morgan screamed, terror in his voice. Looking for the shooter, he screamed, "find her and hold her.""We have her brother," Meghan and Marshall said, as they shoved Sam to the ground, holding her down till the police arrived. Seconds later he turned his attention to Annabelle who was now being put on the stretcher heading for the hospital. Climbing in the ambulance with Annabelle, he held her hand, fear tugging at his heart. "Hang in there kitten please. Fight baby ple

As the year began, the hospital was busy. Marshall and Danielle were working long hours to get the hospital moving. It was March of that year, Morgan and Annabelle had been discussing dates for their wedding. The topic of having children had come up. Tears streamed down Annabelle's face as they discussed the possibility of having children. When Annabelle had been shot in the stomach, the bullet had injured her to the point that the doctors said that having children may not be a possibility "I know you want children of your own kitten, but we can adopt," Morgan said tenderly, sympathetic. Though he wanted his own children, it was not more important than having his woman with him. Annabelle meant more to him. "We can go to the orphanage you grew up in and adopt as many as you like.""I can never forgive Sam for what she did to me. She took away from me the one precious joy in life." Annabelle leaned on his chest. Ho
