(RORY’S POV) When I stepped past the hallway and Amanda opened the door to the living room, I understood where the noise had come from and why Amanda was not sure I would be comfortable. The living room was not dirty but it was messy with a lot of toys scattered around. There were brick Legos, dolls, stuffed animals, large teddy bears and some toy cars. In the midst of these toys, two kids are seated. There is one, a little boy who looks like he is slightly above six years old; he looks like he had jumped into a bowl of sawdust and can barely open his eyes. He is sobbing lowly and sniffing away. Then there is a girl, slightly older than the boy, and her attention was on a large toy until I walked in and she turned to give me attention. “I’m so sorry,” Amanda said, turning around to give me a shy smile. “I would have prepared if I had known you were coming. I really had no idea.” “It’s okay, Amanda,” I said chuckling. “It’s okay, please. It’s my fault for not letting you know that

(RORY’S POV) The weekend went by quickly even though it didn’t go by as fast as I wanted it to. I missed Todd so much, so much that I didn’t even know if I was going to be able to handle it. There are things going on with my body that I really never knew could happen. Let’s take for instance, the way I stop mid-task and start to remember Todd’s hands on my body, the way his eyes darkened with desire as he held my stare and moved inside me, and that in turn starts to affect me by making me get wet in my private area. It’s been happening so many times that I tried to even stay more cautious by observing myself and trying to stop myself from replaying those heated memories in my head. But all that didn’t work; I found myself just falling back to them and the next thing I know, I have to change my panties. And then after that, I am left wanting him, craving him. But I am too shy to tell him that, and so I only text him at every chance I get. I spent Saturday with Rosalie and her sibl

(RORY’S POV) “Hey Todd,” Jason said politely, even with his smile faltering as he turned to Todd. I turned to Todd praying he would look at me because all I could see was his jaw throbbing with veins and I feared that his fist would fly out and connect with Jason’s face. “Jason,” Todd grunted with a stiff nod that made me release my breath. It meant he wouldn’t be fighting and breaking parts of people’s bodies. “I was wondering if I could have a moment with you, Rory,” Jason said, his eyes turning sober as he turned to me. I cleared my throat feeling heat travel from my neck up to my cheeks. “I’m on my way to class now,” the words slipped easily from my mouth and even though I should not care that there is a flicker of hurt in Jason’s eyes, I felt my stomach clench into knots in guilt. “I promise, I’ll be very quick,” he said and then took a step forward, “I can walk you to class too, if you don’t mind.” I instinctively turned to Todd and he was already turning to me with a dis

(RORY’S POV) Being in love is beautiful. Being in love with Todd O’Connor is magic. He has this ability to make me feel okay, just by thinking of him. For instance, I didn’t have a great day at school, but just the thought that I will get to see him by the end of the day kept me going so easily. I couldn’t wait for the bell to ring and to finally dash out of my last class. Or at least that was how I was feeling until I saw Jason, with a grin that was more annoying than nervous to me. “Hey Rory,” he greeted me softly, so casually like this was a regular routine for us. Not even when we were dating, not even then did Jason act all buttery. “Jason,” I greeted, letting a little sigh into my words. “How was your day?” he asked me. I stared at him, surprised, but I kept on walking and he fell into step beside me. “My day was fine, Jason,” I answered, keeping my tone polite. I turned to him and stopped moving, right there in the hallway. He was a few steps ahead before he real

(TODD’S POV) “This is huge, baby!!” I exclaimed, giving a loud whoop right after. “Please, drive safely,” I heard Rory say, and I could imagine her adjusting her glasses as she speaks. I chuckled, quickly increasing the volume on my AirPods. “I will,” I assure her, and then I cleared my throat. “Tell me. How do you feel about this? You don’t sound too excited.” There was a moment of silence and then— “I’m honestly confused and… scared, I guess,” she said with a nervous laugh I was very familiar with. “Don’t worry. We’ll figure it out together,” I said to her softly. “For now, just breathe in the moment, acknowledge the fact that you are a rare, real-life genius!” She laughed, and I could tell she felt lighter. I felt a sense of achievement to hear that. “Tell me, baby. What do you want?” I urge her gently. “Tell me.” She laughs again, this time it’s deeper, and I can tell she is shy. I can also imagine her cheeks getting bright red. “I’m serious. Tell me what you want, and I’
