The next morning, Felix’s phone buzzed against the bedside table, dragging him out of the warm, sleepy haze. The curtains were only half-drawn, letting in a soft wash of sunlight that touched the edge of the bed. Florence’s arm rested loosely over his stomach, her breathing slow and even. He reached for the phone without moving too much, not wanting to wake her. The screen lit up with a familiar name — Ella.
