Samantha’s PovI entered the garden—stepping onto its stone path. The rich hush of perfect roses, yellow daisies, and tulips wafted through the warm breeze. Luca stood gracefully in the middle of the garden, wearing nothing but dress pants and a light dress shirt that exposed his chest and was clearly see-through. The dark green material did him no justice.“You're late.”“A girl needs time to prepare,” I responded, coming to a stop in front of him.“So?” I asked, not minding the clear view I had of him. Samantha’s POVWe arrived at the party on time. With my hands holding Luca's, we walked into the room. Everyone's eyes were on us, but I didn’t bother to look back at their shocked faces.“Be careful… don’t say anything you shouldn’t,” Luca warned as we moved further into the room.“What party is this, by the way?”“It’s a small gathering with the allies of Silver Rose. Samantha’s PovHe is so close… I can't think when he is this near to me. My body reacts differently from how I want it to react.“You're too close,” I whispered, and he just smiled.
