Logan's P. O. V.I couldn't believe that I almost lost it there. The anger of seeing another man in the same space as Layla never stops upsetting me. Even though I'd controlled my jealousy out there, I still shouldn't have been affected like that. I'd promised myself to change and that change includes understanding and accepting that she must have made friends over the year, that she must have other suitors and most importantly, she had her freedom to go wherever she wanted, do whatever she wanted and be with whomever she wanted. But the pain that struck me hard when it occured to me that that man could have been her boyfriend was original. I never felt something like that before. What if she had moved on with someone else? I didn't know if I could handle that.As I walked out of her apartment, I had this urge to go back and grab her close, kiss her like I've always wanted and do so much more. But again there's that fear that she may not even want me anymore.I drove off as fast a

As soon as it was dark outside, people started arriving at the house. A couple of their friends, I counted at least four couples amongst them.I sat at the mini bar situated right before the kitchen exit and watched everyone as they swam around the room, talking and eating.Graziella was now dressed in a nude gown with a slit running down her front thigh, her hair made into wavy strands down her bag. Right now she's standing with Carl's arm snaked around her waist, both talking with a couple of friends.Earlier, like an hour ago, Carl had called up the crowd and given a speech about how happy he was to have Graziella in his life and wished her a happy anniversary. But he never pulled out the ring. I didn't know a more perfect time.Just as I was watching everyone silently from the bar stool, my eyes crosses Graziella and she's no longer standing with Carl, she's now standing right in front of a young woman who's face and body was directed towards me. I can tell she was looking at

Layla's P. O. V.I was ending my shift when my phone rang from my bag. I needed to get home as soon as possible because Maddy was landing in a few minutes and I didn't wanna keep her waiting alone at the house since she had insisted that I didn't pick her up from the airport this time around.I got a hold of my phone and pulled it out to see Beverly's name flashing across it's face." Oh hey Beverly, " I spoke as I placed the phone between my shoulder and ear as I tried to get my things together into my bag. I'm standing right before my locker." What's up, Layla. I'm actually calling really late to inform you about this, I've been pretty busy. "" Yeah, Bev, you are. So what's up? "" I'm having this dinner tomorrow night and I was wondering if you'd be free to come. Although I called to ask you to take a permission from your boss to attend. " She joked.I laughed lightly and replied " I would definitely do that. Oh and my best friend's coming over, maybe she could come with me?

I walked back into the room without saying another word to Logan. But he doesn't stop me.By the time I got back to the room, everyone was busy. Beverly was downstairs talking to the people that were decorating the place for the dinner. I had no idea it was a big dinner. Foods were to be moved in by caterers in the evening and I helped as little as I could. Logan disappeared for a while and reappeared towards the evening. I told Maddy and Beverly about Logan asking me to give him a chance, to go out with him and they'd asked me to go. Clearly they think I'm just in denial, I did want to go with him as Maddy said she observed.By 8 p.m the room was filled up with people who knew Beverly, congratulations on their lips as they hugged her.I noticed Logan standing at every corner I looked, watching me. He was starting to creep me out when I saw Ken walking in with a huge bouquet of flowers in his hands as he struggled to pass through the large number of people. " Ken! " I called. Ke

Layla's P. O. V.A date? When he saw the confusion in my eyes he smiled again and stepped in. Just then, Maddy walks out of the kitchen to see us." Oh you guys going out? " Maddy just made the whole thing worse." Yes Maddy, if only Layla would do me the honors. " Logan replied, throwing a flirtatious grin at me.I remembered that I hadn't given him a yes answer back at the party, neither did I say no. So in the end, I just nodded and walked away to get ready, especially since Maddy kept communicating with me through her stares, urging me to go get dressed up and go out with me. As soon as I'm inside our room, she's running after me and picking out a dress for me. She ends up picking out a nude dress that had it's shoulders dropped off to the upper arm, leaving my shoulders bare and my upper breasts and cleavage exposed. I watched myself on the mirror and remembered how Logan never liked me going out in outfits that exposed my breasts. Well now he doesn't call the shot, I wear w
