Lucy's POV It is evident that Nathan is trying to protect me, but this only makes me more determined to prove my innocence, and I agree with Diane that we should check all the frames that could provide clues as to how her necklace went missing. So the security people retrieve the footage from the angles that show the outside of the restrooms, and we all gather to watch it. My heart is beating fast every step of the way, because even before we watch the footage, I have a pretty good idea of what the outcome is going to be. Somehow, I just know. What would my parents do? They seem to be very principled people. What will they do after finding out that the person they took under their roof was accused of stealing, and there is evidence of sorts that proves that she may have done it? Nathan’s POVMy sister is recovering pretty well as well. I had no idea that she was being physically abused by her husband, because she kept what was going on from me and our parents.Still, I can't stop berating myself for not somehow figuring it out and coming to her aid sooner. Naturally, she’s devastated to learn about the loss of her baby, and while I feel sad for her, I’m also relieved. It's probably callous of me to feel that way, but at least, this way, there won't be anything linking her to her abuser, so the likelihood that she will go back to him after all this will be reduced.
