Chapter continued in author's POV.Pushing her skirt up to her hips he brought one hand to trace up her thigh to her pussy. He paused at the edge, not actually touching, then moving his hands he brought both to her blouse unfastening the buttons expertly. Once opened, he paused, admiring her breasts as they swelled above her lacy bra. He opened the front clasp of her bra and pushed it and the shirt off her shoulders together. He brought his hands up to her breasts, cupping the soft globes firmly, capturing her sensitive nipples between his thumb and forefinger, pinching and rolling them. She gasped and moaned in response, reaching up she placed a hand in each of his cheeks and brought his head down for a kiss. He leaned further forcing her to lay back on the table with her thighs spread wide. One kneading her breast the other slipped back to her parted legs. He cupped her damp mound rubbing her clit with his thumb. She bucked against his hand at the feeling moaning loudly."Hmm... Wet

Eva's POV.It had been several days since that strange morning... When I’d woken up feeling like the world was spinning and ended up on my knees in the bathroom, throwing up last night’s meal.At first, I thought it would pass. Maybe I had eaten too much, or the stew had been too spicy, or I was just tired from the stress of the past few weeks. But the days went by, and the feeling didn’t leave. If anything, it became stronger, and I began to realize that something about my body felt... Off.It started subtly. I found myself waking up late almost every day. I, who used to rise before dawn, could barely keep my eyes open past breakfast. The hunger came in waves, ravenous one minute, gone the next. And then there were the strange little spells of dizziness, the tightness in my chest, and that persistent queasy feeling that came and went just as quickly. This morning was no different.I sat on the edge of the bed, my fingers digging lightly into the mattress as I tried to steady my breat

Eva's POV.I couldn’t remember the last time I’d felt this exhausted. Every part of me ached... my back, my neck, even my eyes felt heavy, and yet, I had done everything possible to look composed. I had fixed my hair neatly, dabbed some light makeup to cover the pale shade of my face, and even managed to wear one of Nicklaus’s favorite dresses... the slightly short dress with the soft lilac hue that always seemed to make him stare longer than usual. But nothing, not the perfume, not the dress, not the smile I’d practiced was enough to cover the fact that I felt… different. And I was terrified he would notice.Dinner was already served by the time I came downstairs. My stomach rumbled, but not with hunger, more like rebellion. For days, I’d been fighting the urge to throw up over the simplest things: the smell of eggs in the morning, the sight of raw meat, even the scent of Nicklaus’s cologne when it was too strong.Tonight, though, I told myself I would hold it together.Nicklaus was

Eva's POV.The silence was deafening.I could almost hear the echo of my own words bouncing off the walls screaming out that I was pregnant, right before I could hold it back. They lingered there like an invisible weight, pressing down on us, suffocating me slowly.Nicklaus stood still by the window, his hand halfway to his mouth, frozen in disbelief. When he finally moved, it was slow… he took one step back, then another, as though he needed space... space from me, from the truth, from everything that had just shattered the quiet of our morning.“Nicklaus?” My voice trembled. “Say something.”He didn’t.Instead, he turned his back to me completely and walked toward the window, his hand gripping the sill so tightly that the veins along his arm stood out. For a long, stretched moment, he said nothing. Only his shoulders moved slightly, the rise and fall of his breathing slow and measured.“So… you were just going to keep it from me?” he finally spoke, his voice came out low... Really

Eva's POV.I knew Nicklaus could be overprotective... he’d shown those colors many times before, but nothing, absolutely nothing, could’ve prepared me for what he was like after learning I was pregnant. It starts the moment I wake up, till nightfall when I retire to bed, not without him cuddling me so tightly like I was going to run off a bridge if he let out of his arms for a second.I woke up this morning feeling a little groggy, nothing unusual. Early pregnancy tiredness had started creeping in, making my limbs feel heavier than normal. But I didn’t feel sick or faint or fragile. Just… normal. And yet, according to Nicklaus, I was apparently incapable of existing without supervision.I swung my legs over the side of the bed, ready to stand, when his voice shot across the room quickly.“Stop right there.”I froze mid-movement. “Nicklaus, I’m literally just getting out of bed.”He appeared around the corner, barefoot, shirt slightly unbuttoned, hair damp from his shower, and looking
