Tyler's POV True to her words, she held a shave in one hand while she lowered herself to begin the process as I sat before her. My stomach tightened and a slow burn started to rise in my stomach. It was never expected of me to accept her kind gesture, but I wanted to understand the overwhelming feeling overshadowing me. She was soft and receptive and she had a great personality that I was attracted to. Now, who wouldn't? She tied her hair with a band, applied some cream to my face and bent closer. The stark view of her eyes reminded me of the actuality that I was close to a woman and I wasn't pissed to have her at such closeness. Her skilled hand guided the stick against my cheek, gliding across my skin as the razor smoothed out a trail of cream and beard. Her gaze was focused on me, intent in offering professionalism that I began to daunt if this was her first time. "Tell me I'm wrong, you've trimmed beard before, probably your father's," I let out a short laugh.

Tyler's POV "What are you doing?" I wheeled myself to her room, her door was wide open and I noticed her writing on some open book while on the bed. She slapped the book closed as if caught in a grievous act. "Ah..I ...I was ....," I cocked a brow, quite hesitant to enter her room. I wouldn't want to intrude into her space unless of course, she invited me in. "You didn't tell me you write as well," I noted. She jumped at her self, smoothing the edges of her billowing skirts while she laughed at herself. "No, I'm not particularly a writer. I just jot some list down, things to do for the day," she explained, her eyes dancing round the room while avoiding any eye contact with me. I smiled, "it starts in that way, before you know it, you're jotting your thoughts about some peculiarities and contrasting as well." I smiled at her. She wasn't inviting me in, that I noticed. Tyler's POV "I don't understand," I said. There was something she was holding back, I had no idea what that was. Had I offended her? She was not being responsive to me like the way she'd always been. A little crazy and I missed that. Why was she suddenly rigid with being around me? There were words I wanted to say to her but she made it heavy to say them. Would I be the sort of guy she would want? I did like her and had taken her out on a date to make known my intentions, thanks to my mother for making me take that bold step. But being reminded about Isabella, I didn't want to walk through that path again. That painful path of believing I could love again. The sting and burns of a heartbreak wouldn't be able to redeem me.
