Austin parked his car in front of the warehouse. The building was old and looked empty. Most of the windows were broken, and there were no lights on inside. But Austin could smell them. Rosemary. Ariana. And Marcus. They were all inside. Austin got out of his car and walked toward the front door of the warehouse. His wolf was ready to fight, but Austin forced himself to stay calm. The morning sun was barely rising when Austin woke up with a heavy heart. His dreams had been filled with images of Rosemary crying and his pack under attack. He sat up in bed and rubbed his face, trying to shake off the terrible feeling that something bad was going to happen. Austin got dressed quickly and walked downstairs to the kitchen. He needed coffee and he needed to think about what to do next. The rogue threat was still out there, and he had to make a decision about Ariana soon. As he poured his coffee, he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw his sister Maya walking into the kitchen. She looked worried. "Austin, we need to talk," Maya said quietly. "What's wrong?" Austin asked, though he wasn't sure he wanted to hear more bad news. Maya sat down at the kitchen table and looked at her brother seriously. "It's about Rosemary. She didn't sleep at all last night. I could hear her crying in her room. Austin, you can't do this to her. She loves you so much."
