CHAPTER : THE REAL ENEMY

Austin parked his car in front of the warehouse. The building was old and looked empty. Most of the windows were broken, and there were no lights on inside.

But Austin could smell them. Rosemary. Ariana. And Marcus.

They were all inside.

Austin got out of his car and walked toward the front door of the warehouse. His wolf was ready to fight, but Austin forced himself to stay calm.

He needed to be smart about this.

Austin pushed open the front door and walked inside. The warehouse was dark, but Austin's werewolf eyes could see clearly.

In the middle of the warehouse, he saw them.

Rosemary and Ariana were both tied to chairs, back to back. They were both conscious, but they looked scared and tired.

And standing in front of them was Marcus.

But Marcus wasn't alone.

There were six other men with him. They were all holding guns pointed at Rosemary and Ariana.

"Hello, Austin," Marcus said with a cold smile. "Right on time."
