Mabel.The darkness of the room engulfed me, "Where is this?", I asked to no one in particular.In a distance, I saw a figure that looked so much like me, but darker, fiercer, wilder, standing there in the midst of the darkness, unwavered. Mabel.“That section is restricted.”I froze, the old leather book still in my hands, the dust dancing in the light.“I—I’m sorry", I stuttered, quickly trying to slide the book back into the cracked shelf, trying my best to hide my tracks.The voice stepped closer, low and weak, but not angry, coughing at the same time.“You knew, didn't you? But he still possessed a degree of sharpness in his steps and the way he looked at me...like he had read a thousand secrets and carried them all in silence, he looked like an embodiment of the books in this room. “I didn’t come to steal anything, I swear,” I said carefully. “I just…needed answers.”
