Semua Bab Rising Of The Dark Luna: A Tale Of Revenge & Redemption : Bab 41 - Bab 50

Lev.My heart seemed to skip a beat as I heard her name, the events of the last few hours made me forget all about her.“Okay... so what about her?” I asked, my voice low and dangerous. He leaned forward, elbows on his knees, “why her Lev? Out of all the wolves—strong, capable wolves with clear histories—why a mate whose past is a mystery? Who can’t even shift?”My eyes went darker as my vision blurred slightly, I stepped towards him, hands trembling, “Mabel’s my mate!” I growled, “the Moon Goddess chose her for me and I accepted her, I didn’t reject her, and I won’t, not now, not ever and there’s nothing you or any of the elders can do about it.”He stared blankly at me, not affected by my outburst, “a call that has cost you so much more than it has benefitted you, Mabel’s no Luna, the mystery surrounding her past, her inability to shift—they’re all weaknesses this pack can’t afford.”“Enough!” I roared, voice echoing off the walls, “Mabel’s my problem, not yours, keep her name out o

George. With Lev tied up in his meeting with whoever it is, I had the strategy room to myself with all the scrolls, maps, and different littered plans and prototypes, each one marked with lines and sketches that had started to fuse together in my mind.“If we enter from the west ridge, we’ll be spotted, but the east flank?” I murmured, dragging the gold pen across the map, “too many sentries, damn it.”I leaned back, rubbing my face with my hand, this is my area of specialization, I am the planning guy—but this wasn’t as simple as it should be.The situation here is different, it is much more complicated than it has ever been, Cora’s gone, Lev seems to be losing his mind every second, and as for me? I was starting to feel like I was barely keeping things together. With a groan, I pushed myself away from the table and stood tall, “that’s enough for now.”I need a breather.I stepped out of the room, my feet carried me towards the one place I wanted to be, the infirmary, without even th

Marcus. The air was different in the human realm, lighter—less filled with the scents that ruled our world.I inhaled deeply, letting the calm sounds of the human world settle into my head. Beside me, Garron shifted impatiently, his arms crossed over his chest, eyes scanning the empty path that led through the woods."So, you’re really not taking Julia?" he asked for the third time.I glanced sideways at him, "this is a guy thing okay? Nothing wrong with Julia, but someone needs to watch over the southern pack while we’re gone, you and I both know how unstable those rogues are."He grunted in agreement, "yeah, but you sure she won't be pissed you didn't tell her?""She’ll live," I muttered. We walked for several minutes, crossing over large roots and evading low-hanging branches, but at this point, I wasn’t exactly sure where we were going. That was the thing about plans like this—you don't need a clear direction, just action, keep moving and somehow—something would fall into place.

MarcusThe hallway outside the office room was quiet, well lit and chill, the evening breeze invading the whole space.I walked into the office, pacing the length of the room, my mind racing with thoughts from the last rogue report, this guy seems to be forgetting his place. Finally coming to rest at the side of the large table, I stood there, tapping my fingers against the top of the large wooden table.I couldn't focus on anything till I heard her steps, Julia’s footsteps approaching the office, and before I knew it a smirk had crept its way to my lips. She walked gracefully, each step portraying the confidence I know she has, unable to break my gaze from her even when she walked into the room. Something about her steps made me remain fixed, watching with admiration. She closed the office door softly behind her and said, "it’s done."I arched a brow, intrigued, "done?""Cora," she replied smoothly, maintaining eye contact with me, "I found her—fought her and almost ended her.""Why

Cora."Do what Cora?" he responded nonchalantly."Why did you keep on taking the blame every time we got caught?" I clarified.Marcus paused, keeping his gaze at me as he massaged his chin with his right hand."I did it cause I always felt guilty, I felt guilty that I was the reason we got caught every single time we got out."That makes sense I guess."But we never said to you that it bothered us," I pressed on."You didn't need to, I saw it in your eyes, especially Levs’, the way he looked at me every time we were being dragged to father, I knew he thought of me as the weak link," he said gravely."Marcus—"He cut me off before I could say anything else, "I noticed his closeness to you, the way he would try to get you to leave me behind, I could see his disappointment whenever I joined on any adventure," he continued."Marcus, you are reading too much into it, Lev was just very competitive, he hated to lose and..." The words hung in my throat, not exactly knowing how to deliver them
