Alan I was fucking pacing back and forth in Emily’s house. I’d come straight over here after she called me to tell me what happened. Apparently Collins’ mother had called and told her so she immediately relayed the message. Why the fuck didn’t my mate call me when this happened ?? I mean I get it she was mad and we weren’t speaking but this was a major fucking occurrence and none of that other shit mattered. Now she wasn’t answering my phone calls or texts so I was about to drive my ass to her school. My sister told me to ‘just wait’ whatever the fuck that meant so here I am. Waiting and pacing. Waiting and pacing. Pacing and still fucking waiting. I was about to lose my mind. I asked Emily for directions. She’d gone with Collins the first day of school. But if she didn’t want to give them to me I’d find the fucking place myself. It didn’t matter that I didn’t have her room number or know exactly where the dorm was.. or school for that matter. Collins I woke up … and immediately closed my eyes again. Everything was bright… way too bright. Was there a light shining on me?? I peeked one eye open again. Nope. Just the light from the window. It was a big ass window though … I looked around the room. The curtain on said big ass window was open halfway like we always left it. Our bedside tables still covered with lamps and drinks … clocks and pictures. The floor was filled with clothes and books and blankets and pillows and dance pom poms. No… everything looked the same. Everything was normal. So why did I feel so completely and utterly out of whack? We didn’t drink the night before … so this wasn’t a hangover. Although it felt really similar to one.
