Alan It was day three of Collins’ break. Well. Day two because the first day she was on the bus the whole time. I knew she was going to be busy with her family and best friend. I mean her grandfather and Rachel had travelled hundreds of miles to be with her during her break .. so obviously she’d want to spend as much time with them as possible. But I wanted to see her too. So when she called me up on the third … no, second… day and asked if I wanted to go for a walk .. I said hell yeah. It was early when she called me so I crammed down breakfast and was headed out of the pack house. Of course right then Ingrid showed up. “Hey!” She said brightly. Wow couldn’t keep this girl down. I knew I was going to have to spill the beans to her about Charlotte most likely being her half sister. I needed to do that soon. Alan“So I’m taking it that my sister told you.” I said. Not that I minded Collins knowing. I knew she would never endanger me with it. “She didn’t .. not really.. she just implied it.” She said. “Wait. Collins. You know you can’t tell anybody this right? I mean about you….” I said. But then I remembered that not one but two random werewolves saw her do it. “I know…” she said. “I don’t even know if I ~can~ for sure do it. And I don’t really know how to trigger it. Apparently I have to be in somewhat of a dangerous situation.”About three million questions we’re going through my head. “But somebody saw you doing it.. two people… besides the girls..” I said. “I know but it’s alright Alan. I don’t think Remington saw me he was too busy tryin to take Breck’s neck off. And Breck didn’t call it that.. he just noticed I was shifting quickly which I told him I always had done that. CollinsSomehow … someway…. We got into a discussion about …. Well… toes. Not just any toes but the fourth one in particular. We’d had way too much wine. So we all began to comment on how funny the fourth toe actually was. And compared them…. Way .. way too much wine. “Mines cute” I shrugged. “Awww yours IS cute!” Emily agreed. She’s so nice. “Lauren why is yours so damn long?” Emily asked and busted out laughing. “Rachel yours looks like a beenie weenie” I said seriously. Then she snorted and we all rolled around giggling. Then we decided to see what our wolf toes looked like. So we shifted and all walked around Emily’s living room checking out our wolf toes and trying to take pictures of them with our cell phones. That was just so we could discuss them and compare once we changed back. But damn it was hard to take a pic when you’re a wolf. That probably wasn’t the best time for Lorenzo to wake up and come downstairs. He stopped half way down at the view before him. F

AlanWe continued walking after she ran in her house to grab my gift. I was feeling nervous about giving her gift to her… I hope she liked it. It took me forever to figure out what to get her… I just knew it had to be something special. Once she had it we continued walking. I tried to peek over at the bag she was holding but she hid it behind her back quickly. “No peeking..” she laughed. “Oh I was just admiring your wrapping skills that’s all.” I told her fully lying. Collins The next several days were perfect. Alan and I spent time together running and shifting. I practiced my “teleportation” even though I couldn’t actually teleport. Not yet anyway. And maybe I never would be able to. But Alan was shocked at my shifting speed just like everyone else had been. And he also agreed that he thought I could do it. I still had to concentrate and think of unhealthy things to get my body to actually do it. I didn’t know if I even wanted the gift if that’s what had to happen every time. But Alan said it would come with practice. Right now it’s only happening when I thought I was in danger .. but eventually I could train myself to do it on command. He showed me his ability of growing. The first time he did it I almost passed out. It was the scariest thing I’d ever seen in my life. He grew and grew and grew. Then once I got used to it I started laughing. Then I couldn’t stop. He eventually had to shift back to ask me what was so damn funny. I laughed even
