CHAPTER 1ANNIE'S POVA loud scream escaped my lungs, immediately my body touched the freezing water. My arms and legs wiggling to hold down my body from drowning.Immediately, I heard laughter from the opposite side. It gets more intense as I wiggle, my body going deep into the water. My face barely visible anymore. I am drowning. I raise my hand in an attempt to pull my body out of the freezing pool, but I can't even swim. “Fat Annie, how is it going down there?” I heard Beauty's voice. Filled with mockery. Their laughter was very audible even from inside the water This was not how I had thought my day would end. I shouldn't have listened to Julie. Maybe I shouldn't have come out of my shell. I thought everyone has moved on from bullying me. It's six years now!No one has ever cared about my misfortunes. This has been my life from childhood. Listening to my ranting.“Uhh… Annie, can you loosen up a little. I might be squashed from your hug”I looked at her amused face, but then we burst out laughing. “You’re crazy...” Julie has been a favorite person, my only friend. Being bullied in school pulled us close. She was the only one who comes to console me eachday I get bullied. She was almost marked, but her fa

Pulling me in for a warm hug “Thank you so much. I will return the dress”She had given me her one of a kind smile “Don't bother honey… It was a request from someone special” she winked Someone special she had said. Who?She gave only a tap on my shoulder in dismissal to my curious stare. “I am not ordered to tell who. Stay safe Annie…”And then… she was striding on. Grim faced. The butler led me into the waiting car. As we turn into the busy road, leading to my house.I shut my eyes trying to shut out the repeated scenes of my day. My eyes searched through the tall building, tender memories wailing at the back of my mind. “It's been a while here” Brain grinned beside me, his earlobe quivering with electric excitement. It always happen when he's excited. “Yeah… a long while” I admitted We haven't been here since after grade six. Father always dumped us here over the weekends.
