Isabella povI knew he obviously wouldn't let me have the party, thankfully I haven't really invited anybody."I'm sorry, I told you from the start that he wouldn't agree to you having a party here" Agar said and I sighed placing my hand on my hips, I was not even surprised."It's fine, it's a good thing you didn't let me send out the invitation" I said feeling thankful that Agar had talked me out of it even though I was really looking forward to doing something to hurt Chris and Clara."So what are you going to do now?" He asked and I smiled, it was very obvious now that Agar was changing towards me, he wasn't so laid back like he used to be and he talked more with me, I liked it, I felt less lonely."Nothing, is this how boring bring a Luna is?" I asked moving towards the sitting room where the music coming from the speakers were on full blast.I turned it off and took a seat and as usual Agar didn't sit, he just stood by the side with his hands behind his back as we continued with o

Lucian povSince I went down to heltons company I haven't seen him or the documents and I had a hunch he was planning something, either he was going to refuse me or he was going to trick me but whatever it was I was smarter and two can always play the game.Today I had nothing to do except go through old documents and pay my employees, I would have done this all the way from home but I wanted to be present at the office for a reason unknown to me."Send this one out as well" I said adding more files to the one I've already piled up for Jeffrey."This one needs to be faxed over to Sheraton, they don't have a copy of this document I think we should fax the original to them" Jeffery said showing me the Sheraton document.I bought half the shares in the company and kept the record of the deal, he was right for us to send it over to them but then it was wiser for us to keep the original copy of the deed."Make photocopies and mail it to them" I said and immediately he understood why, anoth

Isabella’s POVEven though we left the penthouse late, we still arrived early.I wasn’t afraid anymore. I didn’t care what would happen in this meeting. The only thing I felt now was anger. Anger at Chris, and at whoever had stormed into my mother’s house to threaten me. This wasn’t over. I would find out who was behind it, even if I had to do it all by myself. As I walked inside, my mind drifted to the first time I came here with Lucian. I remembered how Chris tried to convince me I was making a mistake by marrying Lucian. I remembered how desperate he was to hold onto what he believed was his. It had been pathetic.“If it isn’t the new Luna,” a woman with a large head tie said as she walked up to me, pulling me out of my thoughts.I turned to her. She looked familiar, but I couldn’t place her no matter how hard I tried.“Hi,” I replied. She frowned at me, clearly unimpressed. Then another woman beside her spoke up.“Such poor manners.”I rolled my eyes. What was I supposed to say to

Lucian's PovYou would think they would be happy to see me. But no, it was the opposite. They all glared at me as I walked into the room, heading straight for the throne, the biggest chair at the end of the long table. I had a slight smirk on my face. These fools had no idea what was coming.“This is not a meeting you can just walk into, Lucian,” Luke said.I nodded and sat down, not breaking eye contact with him. I wanted him to see what I was doing. I turned my head slowly to the elders. Their eyes burned with anger, every single one of them. The hate was almost funny.“I am sorry I am late,” I said smoothly. “Minor problems. But let us move on. Where were we?”I spoke like I hadn’t just walked in and ruined something important.I didn’t look at Isabella. Not because I didn’t want to, but because there was no need to put on a fake show. Not yet.“What an entrance,” Tracy said with a smile as she walked over to stand beside me.“Impressive, right?” I replied while scanning the table.

33. IsabellaAnger was an understatement compared to what I was feeling at the moment, I was also irritated, Lucian has done nothing but provoke me since he appeared during the meeting.I saw how he brought his brother down without saying much, it looked like there was something more happening between the two of them that the crowd couldn’t see but I sensed it, the tension between them was thick.“How doting of you to patiently wait for your husband” can I smash his pretty face? Or rather still dig my fingers into his skull? That would hurt right?I was about to respond when Victor came out from the car and walked towards him, the next thing that happened shocked the anger out of me.“The airport or the penthouse” Victor said and my mouth hung open.“Close it before something enters” Agar whispered in my ear as he passed by me, I closed my mouth shut and walked up to Victor, I need to know why he wasn’t speaking to me when he was obviously talking to everyone.“Why don’t you speak to
