Alpha Rafael: Chasing My Ex Wife のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 61 - チャプター 70

RAFAEL POV Nicklaus doesn't say a word at first. He just watches me. His arms cross over his chest, from his facial expressions I couldn't even read what's going on in his head. He's doing that thing again, staring straight through me like he can read every damn pages in my head. I couldn't even say a word either, my head is a fucking mess.He lets out a breath of exhalation, the kind that say this is deep. "You really think it's a spell?" His voice is calm, plain, and the little tinge of laughter in his voice I could tell he's almost mocking me. This isn't even funny.I grit my teeth, jaw clenching."I don't know what the fuck it is, Nicklaus," I mutter, pacing toward the window. "All I know is, she's messing with me. She's in my head. I can't fucking breathe when she's near. I see her lips and I lose it. Aces loses it." This hasn't happens to me before... And it's damn confusing. And the last where she was able to heal my panic attack? The last where she held my secret? And the par

RAFAEL'S POV.In moments of confusion, the mind is not broken, it is simply searching. As Aristotle once hinted, knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. And as Confucius taught, when the path is lost, step back, not in fear, but to see clearer. For only in stillness does the storm settle, and only in solitude does purpose whisper again. The way back is not always forward, it is inward. The mind, when lost in chaos, I does not need saving, it needs surrender. As the old souls whispered, when you can no longer see the path, close your eyes. Let the world fall away. Let the ache guide you. For in the heart of confusion lies a cruel kind of clarity. And in the darkest corners of the soul... we often find who we were always meant to be."The low sound of the jet engines did nothing to calm my mind. I sat in silence, my head tilted back, jaw clenched, eyes shut tight like that would erase the image of her. Her flushed cheeks. Her parted lips. The way her body responded to mine like

LILA'S POV I miss him. Fucking miss him. I know I'm not supposed to. This, this silence, this space, should feel like freedom. But hell, it doesn't.He left. The bastard. The least he could've done was be man enough to look me in the eye and say it, say he was leaving. But no. He said nothing. Just vanished like we never meant a damn thing. No sane person should crave their captor. Not after the things he made me do. Not after the way he bent me, broke me, twisted me into versions of myself I barely recognized. And yet, here I am, lonely, restless. The world feels too calm, too still. And my heart? My fucking heart is racing like it's forgotten how to beat for anything else.Like breathing itself has lost its purpose.Like I'm waiting for something that's never coming back. Why does it feel like I'm the one left in chains... even after he's gone?I stepped into my room, my room in his penthouse. I can't stay here. Every inch of this place reeks of him. It would only tear me apart all

RAFAEL The meeting with the Pack elders was scheduled for today. This morning, precisely.Last night had been brutal. I was back to those sleepless nights, tossing and turning in bed, unable to find rest. It felt like I was losing it again. My thoughts kept narrowing to one thing. No, one fucking person.Lila. That name. That night with her was unlike any other in my life. I had slept, really slept, for the first time in years. It was a deep, peaceful kind of rest. The kind I hadn't known I was craving until I found it.But last night, all I had were restless thoughts of her. My mind would not quiet. So, I did what I always did when I needed to escape, took a walk around the pack. The rhythmic sound of my boots against the ground was the only thing that kept me grounded.A knock on the door startled me out of my trance. I stared at the door for a moment, not sure if I wanted to answer it. The room around me was suffocating, filled with too many thoughts of her. Thoughts I couldn't ju

LILA POV The next morning was Friday.By the moon goddess, how I loved Fridays. Not because of anything special happening, but because it meant the weekend was coming. Time to rest. Time to be with Derrick and Ava without the chaos of work breathing down my neck. Time to be... human again.Speaking of Derrick, his final surgery was scheduled for tomorrow. And maybe... maybe it was selfish, but a part of me was glad Rafael wasn't around to make my life harder. At least this time, I could be with my son without anyone demanding anything else from me.Waking up at the hospital that morning, seeing Derrick with wires still taped to his tiny body, my chest ached like hell. It hurt worse than the heartbreak Rafael had left me with.Last night, the doctor had reassured us Derrick would be fine after the operation. He was strong, he said. A fighter.Still... no amount of reassurance could erase the sickening knot in my stomach. After making sure Derrick was settled with Ava for a few hours,
