Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Plus-Size Best Friend Is My Mate: Kabanata 81 - Kabanata 90

Ashina’s povOnce inside, Daniel takes me to one of the empty rooms and gently closes the door behind us. The silence is deafening, broken only by the sound of my ragged breathing. He sits me down on the edge of the bed, his eyes searching mine for answers, but I don’t know what to say. I don’t even know where to start.“Hey,” Daniel says softly, sitting beside me. He doesn’t try to make me talk; instead, he waits, giving me the space I need to collect my thoughts. His presence is comforting, grounding me in a way I didn’t expect. After what feels like an eternity, the sobs begin to subside, leaving behind a hollow ache in my chest. I wipe at my eyes, trying to clear the tears, but they keep coming in small, uncontrollable bursts.“I’m sorry,” I finally manage to say, my voice hoarse and shaky. “I didn’t mean to cause a scene…”Daniel shakes his head, a sad smile on his face. “You don’t have to apologize, Ashina. I just want to understand what’s going on.”I take a deep breath, trying

Nathan’s pov You bastard! Her words rang in my head over and over again as I angrily tidied up the rest of my parent’s room. Something inside me broke hearing her voice filled with so much pain. I couldn’t even look back at her when she said it. And now I wish I hadn’t done it. But the picture was barely visible! And she had no right to go through my parents' documents. These are confidential. I ran my hands through my hair in frustration. “Argh!” “Woah!” I turned to see Daniel ducking the wood frame I threw in the direction of the door. “Need some help?” Daniel inquired, a wry look on his face. “Yeah. Let’s get this over with” I sighed. “Sorry about that.” “I get it, it’s fine.” There was an awkward silence as he tried to help me finish up cleaning. “Umm, can I talk to. “Look, if it’s about what just happened between Ashina and me, forget it.” I snapped at him, cutting him off. “Woah calm down okay.” He raised his hands in mock surrender and we continued to work

Ashina’s pov“Exactly are we going?” I asked Érica as we weaved carefully through the smoldering field fire. I knew the smoke from burning wolfsbane was lethal to us werewolves, but fortunately, wolfsbane burns quickly, and the smoke fades even faster. “I had no idea they were gonna burn the whole field,” Érica grunted as she wound her way through the charred grass. The entire field was overgrown to almost the length of an adult person. “I just need a few of these babies.”I looked on in confusion. What does she need wolfsbane for? I suddenly stopped in my tracks.“What’s going on Érica?” She cackled. “Oh please, Ash. You’ll find out soon enough. Now move.” She ordered.“We walked the entire length of the field before we came across an unburnt patch of wolfsbane.“Seems like Daniel was too busy thinking about you to get the job well done huh?” She mocked. She got to work and began to gather a lot of them.“Wherever you’re going with this, there’s no way Nathan is gonna see you walk

Ashina’s POVI took a deep breath, trying to steady my heart as Erica pulled the car into the park. My nerves were shot, my thoughts jumbled. Through the front window of the house, I could see Nathan pacing back and forth, his anger practically radiating off him. Even from here, it was like a wave crashing over me, drowning out any hope I had left for a calm conversation.“You know I didn’t tell him, right?” Erica’s voice drifted over to me, cutting through my thoughts. Her tone was casual, but there was an underlying tension I couldn’t ignore.I barely registered her words. My mind was consumed with thoughts of Daniel. He’d promised he would fix things, that he’d make it right. But now, everything was falling apart, and he was nowhere to be found. “Where the hell is he?” I muttered under my breath, my frustration boiling over. I’d called him a dozen times on the way here, but his phone kept going to voicemail. Why wasn’t he picking up? We needed to face Nathan together.“You know rig

Ashina’s povAlmost as if on cue, Daniel turned down a winding driveway lined with tall, looming trees. At the end of the drive, a large house came into view, almost the size of the pack house. My eyes widened in surprise. “Whose house is this?”Daniel pulled to a stop and turned off the engine, turning to look at me with a cocky grin. “It’s mine.”I blinked, taken aback. “Yours? Since when do you have a house like this?”He shrugged, unbuckling his seatbelt. “My parents always favored Nathan, sure. But they didn’t leave me out entirely. This is one of the assets they left for me. I’ve had it for a while now. Just never saw the need to flaunt it.”Understanding dawned on me, and I felt a wave of realization wash over me. “This is where you always disappear to, isn’t it? Whenever you’d go off without telling anyone, this is where you’d come.”Daniel nodded. “Yeah. It’s my place to get away. To think.”He climbed out of the car, and I followed, feeling dazed. The house was beautiful, wi
