Alex's Pov I didn't go after him. I should have. I wanted to, but I stood rooted to the spot as he walked out of the apartment. I stood there for a long time, just staring at the door while the movie continued in the background. When I was finally able to get my bearings, I moved on autopilot. I grabbed the plates and glasses and took them to the kitchen area. I mindlessly tossed the remnants of the wine into the sink and the last of my meal into the trashcan. I did the dishes, all the while thinking of nothing and everything. I went back to the couch and sat staring at the TV as another movie began playing. Luca’s Pov On my way up the stairs I battled with the decision of barging in. It felt odd that I was even reconsidering it. I should have no problem with it. Normally, I wouldn't. He was my property.
