Author's POV “I don’t know,” one nurse spoke up quickly, her voice shaky and uncertain as she squatted down to retrieve the discarded remote from under the mangled bed frame. “But I think he accidentally pressed the remote of the bed or something…” Mason frowned deeply, his brows knitting together in disbelief. He rubbed his temples, glancing up at Daniel, debating whether it was his place to reveal what he suspected, that someone had tried to murder his sister. In the end, he decided against it. It wasn’t his place. “Um, I don’t know…” he began, but Daniel cut in immediately. “What do you mean you don’t know?” Daniel pressed, his voice sharp with worry and frustration. “I know my sister. She is not reckless enough to work with harmful chemicals without proper protection. She has been in this business for years, and nothing like this has ever happened before.
