CHAPTER 16Daisy's POVI stormed into the room and banged the doors loudly behind me as a sign of my anger.Daven stood at the window deeply immersed in a discussion he was having with his Beta in low tones while some servants packed in the background quietly, getting ready to make the return journey to Evergreen Pack.“I want her gone!” I fumed angrily.Daven and Beta Cyrax immediately looked up and even the servants stopped momentarily before they returned to their work.“Pardon?” Daven asked.“I want her gone! Vanished! dead!” I blurted out the words without actually thinking it thoroughly.Daven and Beta Cyrax exchanged glances and an unspoken communication seemed to pass between both men.“Alright, everyone out.” Beta Cyrax turned towards the servants and began herding them out of the room. “Leave it, you'll pack later. All I knew about them was what I had heard from people and I never for once imagined that I'd have an encounter with a rogue let alone be surrounded by a dozen of them in the middle of nowhere.The stories I had heard about them made them out to be disfigured monsters but it wasn't disfigured monsters I faced there in that forest, they were men, peculiar looking but still men.I called them peculiar-looking men because of their unusual hygiene. CHAPTER 20Layla's POVA lot of things went through my mind as I and Derek made the return journey to Blackwood Pack. Derek decided to carry for obvious reasons.. I couldn't travel with speed the way he could do and at this point, we were deep inside the forest and traveling back at normal pace would have taken time.Derek suggested turning back to his wolf form and carrying me on his back but there was just no way I'd be returning to Blackwood Pack riding a big black wolf, Derek..We later concluded that he would carry me in his arms which he did.
