When we got home, Amy had dinner ready for us. I smiled as soon as I got off the elevator, “Mmm… Roast with potatoes and carrots. Yum. I love comfort food.” Daniel laughed, “Are we becoming food driven?” I laughed, “The babies are causing me to be food driven. They’re turning me into a pig!” He laughed, “You’re not a pig, love. You are feeding three. You’re allowed to be hungry all the time.”We sat at the table and I was happy to see homemade dinner rolls with dinner. Daniel laughed at me as I relished every bite, closing my eyes and moaning at the taste. Daniel laughed, “Should I leave you with some privacy?” I laughed out loud, “Just kidding, babe. It just really tastes good.” He chuckled, “I know it does. I was kidding too.”We were in the middle of dinner when Daniel’s phone pinged with a text. He looked at his phone, “Lacey and Angela are on their way up.” I asked, “Since when do they text you and not me?” He laughed, “Since I was the one who asked them to come over to begin with

Victor’s POVMy babies are growing and I can’t be there to say goodnight every night, let them get to know my voice, feel them kick. I fucked up so badly, I know I will never get her back. I don’t even feel like I have a right to ask for those things. When Harley allowed me to put my hand where my babies are, I couldn’t have held back the tears if I’d tried. My brother is more understanding than I would have been to him. That’s probably because of my mother’s influence over me. Daniel has been amazing. He knows how much my babies mean to me and he is supportive of me being in their lives. He scared the shit out of me when he called me at stupid o’clock this morning.FlashbackI was sleeping soundly when my phone rang. I knew it was an emergency because if it’s not, someone has a death wish. I answered on the second ring, “Yeah.” Daniel skipped niceties, “Vic, you need to meet Harley and me at the doctor’s office at seven this morning. She over worked herself yesterday.”I asked, “How c

The first flea market that we went to had enough antique doors and windows to keep us in stock for a while. Victor, Daniel and the extra guys who were helping us loaded them in the box truck. I found several wardrobes and corner cabinets to repurpose into entry seats and storage space for coats and shoes.I also found two mule yokes and one ox yoke. The ox yoke was noticeably larger than the usual yokes I had already worked with. I was anxious to restore all of them and put mirrors in them. I asked Daniel, “Would you mind picking those yokes up for me. Be careful though, they need to be restored before I can put mirrors in them.”Theodore heard what I said and smiled, “So that’s what you were going to do with them.” I nodded, “They always turn out so cool. You’ll see what I mean.” He smiled, “I have no doubt. What else would you like to get?” I shrugged, “I never know until I see it. If you see any old, wooden ladders, I would love to get as many as I can find.”Victor and Theodore sca

I went next door with Daniel, Victor and Theodore to stage the jewelry shop. The first thing I did was look around the front of the shop. There were glass display cabinets along the two side walls and one display cabinet with our POS system and cash drawer on it. That left one corner with a large space unused.I looked at that space and voiced my sudden decision, “I need a drafting table and a couple stools in that corner. I need it to be able to design custom pieces with clients. There is plenty of room for it there.” I typed a note into my phone to look for a drafting table and decided that it would be good retail therapy after I talk to my mother. The guys helped me take all of my inventory to the front of the store and I started arranging it on the display shelves. I had a display that I was able to put on top of a display case that I could hang necklaces and bracelets on. We were able to fill that one along with another one just like it. There was another one that I could hang ear

Harley POVI guess I’m getting married! I’m more than ecstatic about it. The best part of it is that all the people I care about most and none of those I dislike will be there this time and the cherry on top is that I don’t have to keep this one a secret! I can shout it from the rooftop and announce it to the world!I was thinking of a way I could do just that when I was interrupted. Angela tapped my shoulder, “Hey, lady, are you in there?” I chuckled, “Yeah. Just lost in thought. Sorry about that. What were we talking about?” Angela chuckled, “I was just saying we could just close the shop for the day on Saturday.” I shrugged, “It’s fine. I guess I could close at noon on Saturday.”Lacey smiled, “Good compromise. At least that would give us some extra time to search. I also didn’t really want to have to bitch to you about working when you shouldn’t be.” I laughed, “I’m trying very hard to obey the doctor’s orders. These babies have already wormed their way into my heart and it would d
