CHAPTER 7 CRYSTAL My heart skipped as I heard the loud crash in the bathroom. My senses awakened immediately as my heart beat with fear. I quickly scanned the room,my eyes darting around looking for something to protect myself with. I tiptoed to where the table stand was and grabbed a lamp to defend myself in case of any attack. It wasn't as if I had the strength to fight off any possible attack but it wouldn't be bad if I gave it a try— To scare the intruder,at least. Wait a minute. Could it be the stalker? No way. There is no way he would get in here. I should have listened to Ella, drinking was a bad idea.I winced, trying to find a foot on the floor. I successfully got up from the bed,the room spinning around me and my head pounded with each step I took to the bathroom.In the bathroom,I stared at my rough reflection on the mirror, silently wishing that I could escape from every problem that is in every day. I have always tried to avoid trouble since I ran from home many years ago. The lingering fear that follows me like a shadow instills its grip on me so much that I become so withdrawn and locked up in my own world. But I rather call it “Privacy” where I get inspiration to paint.As I was washing my face,my stomach scrunched in pain so I decided to go drink a cup of water to reduce the pain.
