บททั้งหมดของ IN BETWEEN TWO RIVAL ALPHA’S: บทที่ 71 - บทที่ 80

~Lexa~ It was just both of us in the room, his eyes checking all over me for bruises or any discomfort. I wanted to frown and question him but the careful look in his eyes made me relent and I just decided to smile at him like I really wanted to. “I was just gone for a few moments B, how could all these happen?” He didn’t look up at me as he said it, his voice heavy, something lying underneath it. Something like regret. I swallowed nothing in “A moment you said? You were gone for up to a week. It even felt like months and you weren’t also replying to my messages or even responding to my calls.” I uttered with all the strength I had left, trying to move forward so I could flick him on his forehead but I felt a sharp pain in my sides. I stopped midway and he immediately flared up. “What the hell are you doing?” He barked, raising his voice all of a sudden so that I had to look at him confused. He realizes his actions were extra and calmed down, taking a deep breath before s

~Lexa~ “What? …. Ha ha ha okay okay you’re funny, is that enough compliment?” I laughed as I spoke to myself, my head doing a 360, trying to grasp what he just said. It had to be a joke… nah. No way. He looked at me with a stern look, a look that told me he wasn’t joking. “You think coming to stay in your wing would solve anything?” “So what do you plan on doing? Stay where you could get hurt again? Did you ever think about what would have happened if no one was here to save you.” He spoke with so much emotion, his eyes going dark as he had his hand balled into a fist. I scoffed. “So what? You’re trying to act like you care for me now?” I looked at him with a non surprise look, knowing this was probably not because he cared. He looked at me, his eyes melting, he let go of his balled hands as he spoke more lightly. “Do you want to move in with my mom and tell her about all this, that you almost lost your life?” He asked so gently that I doubted it was Alpha Zane standing

~Lexa~ My face was tight in a frown as I wasn’t in any way comfortable here. Now I hope I don't get other new Amy’s targeting me now.. arghhh! He was obviously the most sought after in his pack and probably the second after Raemon in all of the werewolf packs. Talking of Raemon … I can just smell and feel his presence already that my skin irks me. The knowledge that he was just after the walls that were supposed to serve as shield only made it a whole lot worse. I pressed my legs upward together, my chin leaning on it as I sat up on the very wide bed, with lots of thoughts flooding my mind. I heard a knock and I literally felt my heart jump out of my chest, my wolf frightened also like she could tell who was behind those doors but wouldn’t say a thing. It didn’t take long to have an idea who but why was the question. He pushed the door open, entered and locked it behind him. “What are you doing here?” I asked, pretending I wasn’t hell nervous. It felt different, he wasn’t

~Lexa~ “Why can't you come here? We both literally shared my room so it shouldn’t be an issue?!” I wanted her to make me understand but silly Christine was busy giggling through the phone. I wasn’t saying anything funny. In fact I sounded so serious because something in me knew i had to do more than just locking the doors after Raemon left. She tried to stop giggling in a way that only made me more angry. “No one.. I mean no one is allowed into the alpha’s wing. It’s normally supposed to be just his Luna or an even more powerful alpha if needed.” She explained, making no sense at all. “So what does that have to do with you not coming?” I rephrased my question, still waiting for the answer I still hadn’t gotten. She puffs out unnecessary air so loud that I could hear it through the phone. Her voice lost its giggle for a slight moment. “Literally no one else is allowed there, Lexa!” She kept on saying the same thing all over again and it wasn’t registering or neither making an

~Lexa~ I took a quick look around the hall and she was nowhere in sight. “Don’t bother, we’ve not seen her since the day it happened.” Christine said, knowing exactly who I was searching for. Her eyes moved down to slowly inspect me. “What? I’m okay.” I didn’t want her giving me an answer to that question, so I told her what she needed to hear. Her eyes doubted me, tilting her head to the side as she looked at me like the real answers would pop up the longer she stared at me. She was not convinced one bit.. her face nodding slowly and negatively. And she was about to say something but thankfully she stopped. “Hey guys, Lexa! It’s so good to see you.” Evie jumped on me immediately her eyes connected with mine. “Hey. You guys had so much fun without me right?” I asked playfully, watching her look back at Christine like she was asking for permission or maybe something else? She brought her face back to look at me. “Training was never held.” She said it like it was something I
