Chapter 31SERAPHINA The music filled the bar, slow and heavy, crawling into my body like smoke. I sat frozen in my chair, my breath uneven, my eyes glued to Leone.He stood in the center of the room, his broad frame commanding everything. His fingers worked the buttons of his shirt, one by one, but he didn’t rush. He let go of his hand, and his shirt hung on his chest. His hips began to move, swaying slowly to the rhythm.I swallowed down nothing as my eyes followed his movement voluntarily. He moved like he had done this before. No hesitation. No awkwardness. He was so perfect and smooth with his movement. Every sway of his hips was precise, controlled, meant to draw eyes, meant to hold them there. He wasn’t just moving to the music—he was owning it. He was wrapping it around him and delivering just as it was supposed to be. The shirt hung loose now, his chest partly revealed. My eyes betrayed me. I stared, unable to look away. This was the first time I was seeing his bare chest.
