"Shut up Noah" Leo snapped at his brother. Noah jumped with fright. Noah is getting under Leo's bad side, and so he is not used to Leo's anger. But to see Leo favoring Esme so much, Noah is unable to accept it. 'Since when did brother started to care about Esme so much? They barely used to talk over the years. Leo was always away. Then why?' Noah thought with displeasure. "Brother, you don't know that she is putting on an act. I fell for it once, but now I know her better. You are smarter than this. Why waste your time protecting this kind of woman? Can't you understand that she is trying to create differences between us? Why do we have to care for an orphan like her? She is dirt poor and we are rich. She is clinging to you for our money" Noah accused while pointing his finger at Esme. Esme is so stunned that the apple she was munching on slipped from her trembling fingers. A single tear slipped past her lids as she slowly stood up from the couch suddenly feeling out of place.
