Chapter 1. The room felt too hot for Anna. She couldn’t fall asleep. The air was too thick, everyone was asleep, the house was dead silent, the air conditioning did nothing and all her thoughts kept circling back to him. Isabelle’s dad. Chapter 3. It was already two weeks into the summer and everyone started to fall in their various patterns.
