CHAPTER 41 JENNA’S POV My head throbbed before my eyes opened. The air was thick with something far from the scent of a hospital room—it was musty. I rubbed my eyes in circles as I tried to adjust to the dark room. I looked around, no windows. A dim light flickered above me, it was more or less useless at it barely shone bright enough to even see around the room. When I tried to get up, the pounding in my head doubled, so I retreated back to my previous position. “Hello? Is anyone there?” I blurted loudly, using my hand as a guide around the dark room. Silence. I continued to yell until my voice gave out, my throat became patched. I had to reserve the little energy I had so I kept quiet.
