Mellisa's POV “She's just fine, not bad at all. Her body seems exhausted and her wolf needs adequate rest.” Dr. Freda's voice filled my ears.I blinked my eye lids several times to adjust to the light.“She's awake!” Fred exclaimed, rushing towards my side.“You need to be more careful with yourself, Mellisa. I'm not speaking to you as your warrior but as your big brother. I've missed seeing you so much.”I hug him firmly, basking in his warmth.“He didn't let me hear the last of it. He blamed me for allowing you to go there.” Aiden said with relief obvious in his voice. “I'm not fragile glass, Fred.” I nudged him with my elbow. “How's my baby?”“He's with his grandparents, you were just out for about three hours so he hasn't noticed anything unusual.” “Thank you so much for being a father to my son, Fred. I don't know what I'd do without you guys, you too Aiden.” I said to them, with teary eyes.“So how's Magnus?” “Still knocked out but he seems a lot better.” Aiden muttered.“Al

Mellisa's POV “These Alphas came with too much trouble and now we have to deal with their nonsense.” Fred said as we all rushed towards the office door.“Call Dr. Freda right now, tell her what's wrong and bring her along as well.” I ordered, Fred turned towards the direction of the pack infirmary. “Take me to them, Denzel.” I said towards the warrior who came to my office to inform me.Aiden walked right behind me, as we followed Denzel towards the guest house.“I don't feel too good about their coming. We need to think about something that will keep you, they seem hell bent on pinning something on you.” Aiden muttered through the mindlink.“We'll discuss this later. I'm so exhausted my head hurts.” I said feeling so overwhelmed with everything happening lately.“Okay, Alpha.” He answered as we reached the guest house. Numerous male voices can be heard from outside. The door is slightly opened so we pushed it more and stepped in, Denzel stayed outside the door.“You're finally her

Mellisa's POV “Yes I am.” I answered Alpha Drew, looking at him with a questioning look.“How didn't I think of it! Rumor has it that you're a white wolf, but we didn't think much of it.” He said, looking at me in admiration.“Wait, how did you guys know?” I asked, because my pack members were aware of this but not anyone else. “During the last attack someone spread the rumors about how you were a white wolf but we have had such rumors in the past that were fake so we shoved it under the carpet.”“How did you recognise my marking?”He looked around for a while then bent a little closer to me.“The wall has ears, we'll talk about this later.” He whispered and walked briskly away from me.I kept looking at him as he placed some distance between us. “Hello Alpha,” I turned towards the familiar baritone voice behind me.Diana's father, Former Beta Eric materialises behind me. How didn't I hear him earlier?“Hello Beta, how may I help you?” “I've been trying to get to you but it's been

Mellisa's POV The disrespectful girl quickly rises from the cold floor.I gave Adam a challenging look, ready to defend myself and Layla.“The members of your pack dared to bully my little sister and they disrespected me.” I said simply tapping my foot and waiting for his reply.I pushed Layla behind me.“Did you bully her?”Their eyes shift around with guilt.Adam never promoted bullying amongst his pack members but the thing was he was always so distant due to the death of his parents, making the strong prey on the weak.To my uttermost surprise. He growled lowly and turned to face the girls.“You will apologize to her immediately!” He said harshly. The three trembled with wide eyes. I even had my eyes bulged out in surprise. “But, Alpha she…….”He growled in irritation, his wolf pushing forward. “We are sorry,” they all said begrudgingly but with their eyes on the ground.“You're sorry who?” He said again.“We're sorry, Alpha. It won't repeat itself again.” They said this time.

Mellisa's POV I just received news that Aiden's parents were back, and were at their cottage with Aiden so I was rushing to meet them after so long. The Council of Alphas had gone yesterday, now I can finally breathe. My mind went to the reveal I found that night at the Bloody Rock. Aiden had pulled me back just as I was about to see who Demitri's mate was because I was bleeding again.“Penny for your thoughts?” Magnus’ deep voice reverberated beside me.I turned to my side to face him, he was leaning on the wall just by me.I heaved a sigh and muttered, “Hi, Magnus I didn't see you there.”He rolled his eyes playfully and walked towards me, flicking my forehead. “Your mind seemed rather preoccupied. Are you alright?” He asked with concern etched on his face.“Yes I'm fine,” I nodded. “Where are you headed, by the way?”“To Aiden's parents' cottage, they're finally back.” I said with enthusiasm. His eyes glitter like diamonds. “They're finally here! I missed the former female Beta
