Lahat ng Kabanata ng Hooked Between the Alpha Twins: Kabanata 41 - Kabanata 50

Sapphire’s PovI didn’t bother to bunch up the light robe I wore as it billowed in the spring air filtering in through the windows. It would rain at a point today, I was certain of it, and it was about time. Planting had to begin again, and the heat had gone on for long enough.I caught a glimpse of the moon as I pushed open the heavy doors to Alberto’s private chambers. It was bright and iridescent in all its fullness. I prayed it was a sign of favor from the Moon Goddess for the mission I was about to embark on.The smell of cinnamon and sandalwood hit me immediately—a scent that felt like home some hours ago, but tonight, it was heavy with the stench of exhaustion. I glanced around and spotted Alberto standing by the balcony, his back to me. He wasn't wearing his ceremonial tunic anymore; he was down to a thin linen shirt that hung loosely off his shoulders and black shorts.I gulped, staring at his legs. Immediately, he turned to face me, and I felt the blood rush up to my face a

Sapphire’s Pov“The Northern Territories are just ahead,” Lyra's voice cut through the unnatural silence we were surrounded with. I glanced around at the trees that bordered us on both sides, a setting that had not changed for the past 30 minutes. How much longer were we going to be en route to the Northern Territories that Lyra mentioned? When we set out about an hour ago, Lyra said that it was best if we go to the place we saw in the water basin. It was supposedly the last place Gonzalo had visited, although we could not be certain. Alberto recognized the description and confirmed that it was indeed part of the North. All of it had not yet been destroyed by Gonzalo, but it was only a matter of time before that fact changed.“And when we get there?” I asked, shifting in my saddle. Riding felt strange now that there was a baby in my womb. The little bump jiggled slightly with every movement of the horse, and I could feel some strength from the being within me. Fascinating.“We start

Sapphire’s POVHis voice resounded through and through, I glanced over to Alberto, his eyes held the same thing mine held, fear, not of Gonzalo but the monster he had turned out to be.“My sweet Ava” he said once more, I pulled back, his eyes fixated on where I stood, I turned to Alberto, he looked like he was trying to move, it could ruin everything, pulling a hand out, I signaled that he stay right where he was, shaking my head in disapproval of his action. “Seems like the tables have turned” he added, his dark shadow above me.“Wh..what are you talking about?” I let out almost a yell, the wind frantically flowing through my hair “I don’t understand what you mean” I continued. Why was he calling me Ava, I’m Sapphire, not his long lost lover.“Who would’ve known you would stand against me” he looked over to the shadows, his eyes catching a frame of Alberto “In a losing battle” he smirked “You could have chosen me, we could've been together” he continued, his body looked different fr

Alberto’s POVHer face looked pale and her hair had lost its color, her body frail in my arms as she collapsed, blood on her clothes and my brother standing at a distance, trying to reach her, I didn’t let him, this was all his fault.“Don’t you dare come close to her!” I yelled aloud, giving the rest of the pack a signal to keep him at bay “You don’t deserve to be around her” I said angrily as swords were drawn towards him, pointed at his throat.“Get the physician and keep him in the dungeon, now!” I ordered, taking Sapphire’s body in my arms as quickly as my body could move, I couldn’t understand why her garments were in blood, she was fine only moments ago.****Pacing back and forth right in front of her closed room with my hand on my temple didn’t make anything feel better. Just then I heard the door swing open and close, the physician made her way out of the room.“Wh..what happened to her? Is she okay? What happened?” I questioned her, frantically placing my hands on her shoul

Sapphire’s POVI laid in bed, my abdomen still in pain, the physician had assured me that everything was alright, yet, the eyes of Alberto held disdain and his voice afterwards didn’t seem convincing as I thought it was. “You’ll be fine my love” he assured me, his fingers intertwined with mine on the soft mattress.I let out a faint smile that didn't reach the corner of my lips, my heart still ached with worry, he had abruptly gone outside to talk to a beta and now, he looked more glum than he was prior to his little conversation.“Is everything alright?” I struggled to ask, feeling my last bit of strength fleeting from me “You look perplexed, what’s going on?” I took in deep breaths with each sentence I muttered.“It’s nothing. I don’t need you worrying about anything, focus on getting better” he paused, cupping my face in his hand, his light grey eyes sparkling with remorse, I placed my hand on his.“But I have to leave…the palace seeks my attention and leadership” he informed me,
