Se connecter"You think you have a choice?" Alberto's voice was low and lethal. "I am Alpha Supreme. What I decide is law." Akira, trembling on her knees, looked up at him through tears. “You can punish me all you want. It won’t change the truth. I love Gonzalo.” His jaw tightened, he could feel his blood boil from so much anger. “You are bound to me by fate, Akira. You’re mine, whether you like it or not.” But Akira didn’t flinch. Her heart belonged to another—and she refused to live in fear. Alberto’s cold smile returned. “As for my dear brother… he’ll pay for touching what’s mine.” Torn between fate and forbidden love, Akira must face the wrath of an Alpha scorned. Will Alberto’s obsession destroy them all, or will love defy destiny? When bloodlines, betrayal, and prophecy collide, only one truth remains—love may be a choice, but survival is certain.

This is one of the days I regret being born. Ever hate your existence? I hate mine. As far back as my memory could take me, all I remember is being maltreated and belonging to no one at all. No family, no siblings and no friends. Just some lowly dirty omega no one wants to associate with. Other girls my age usually have a best friend to help them feel better, but then there’s me; the cursed omega everyone hates. I was instantly brought back to reality by the sting of my master’s whip on my back. I crawled forward in so much pain trying to escape the agony but it felt like an impossible task. I cared less about how the ground was dirty and the only thing on my mind was to escape this cursed life. I looked up to him, my eyes pleading for mercy but his anger was obvious and I wonder what exactly my offense was this time. He had a cruel smirk on his face as he towered over my weak body deriving joy in what he did. “You useless wretch! You are of no use to me!” he spat. His saliva splattering all over my face but that wasn’t a problem to me. I was used to it already and the only thing I wanted to stop was the whipping. “You made my guest make fun of me for having a weak slave that can barely get anything done without messing it up.” he continued with another whip landing on my back again. I felt so weak due to the wolfsbane laced on the whip he used to inflict pain on me. He ensured he always had his whip laced with wolfsbane so that my injuries would not heal fast. “I should sell you to someone who would keep you in check. Maybe, just maybe you might be better.” he spat again and all I could do was whimper in pain. Nothing he said mattered at the time because my body was already too weak from the pain I felt all over. While the whole drama was going on, my stomach growled. ‘Not again’ I muttered under my breath. My master has denied me food for about three days and I barely survived on just water till this present second. “What was that?” he asked, hearing the sound of my stomach non-stop growling. “Nothing Sire.” I responded hastily before he had the chance to whip me again. At this point, I doubted if I could take any more whipping. He raised his hands up like he was going to whip me and I whimpered in fright and stayed as still as I could, trying so hard not to provoke my master. The minute I thought he wasn't going to whip me, I felt a very loud thud on my back and I moaned in agony. I lacked the strength to sob and the only thing I was left with were mere prayers to the moon goddess. “This is very exciting, do you like it?” he asked me, smiling so wide. I shook my head from feeling so much anguish, he went on dragging me and whipping me. He did as he liked and I just remained there hoping for a rescue. He had me dragged around with my back filled with so much cut as I bled from the injuries I obtained. I noticed my master suddenly came to a halt which led me to look up slowly. My eyes met with that of the alpha supreme. I suddenly felt an electrifying connection between myself and the alpha supreme and I wondered if he felt it too. Our eyes stayed locked in and I would have bet with my life that he felt what I felt, yet he just stood there staring at me. “Look away you animal.” my master’s voice cursed and i turned to the side immediately to avoid another whip. It was enough that I felt really embarrassed being before the alpha supreme in this manner. The best I could do was avoid being whipped again. I heard a growl from the alpha supreme which made it obvious that he hated the way I was being treated by my master. He walked towards us and circled around us, making my master tremble in so much fear. I had no idea what that was about but it was evident that my master was scared to his bones. “I already enforced a law that prohibited slavery and torture, why do you have her treated like this?” the alpha Supreme’s voice echoed in the air. “I… I'm… we…” my master stuttered so much that he could barely say a word. “I’ll ask again, why are you brutalizing this wolf?” he asked again with a coaxed voice. “She stole from me.” he blurted out and my eyes instantly widened from the blatant lie he just told. “That is a lie.” I heard a voice echo from the other side. “Yes, he is lying.” another voice echoed. “Punish him.” a third voice echoed which prompted me to look up. I could see they were the wolves that fed me wherever my master starved me. They must have been tired of how badly he treated me. “Take him to the dungeon.” the alpha supreme commanded his shoulders instantly. I heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that, happy that the moon goddess finally heard my cry. I wanted to thank the alpha supreme but I could barely say a word. I had no idea if it was the excitement I felt from being free of if I was just too weak and hungry to say anything. He looked at me and all I could do was plead for mercy with my eyes while I laid on the floor helplessly. “Help her up and take her to the palace. The royal physician should begin her treatment immediately.” he instructed the guard that was left with him. “The royal physician?” the guard asked for confirmation. “You heard me right, Lukas, yes. The royal physician.” the alpha supreme resounded. The guard wasted no time in carrying me up on his shoulders like I was some feather. We soon arrived at the palace and I was taken to the chambers of the alpha supreme. My body was matted with blood and my injuries were deep. The royal physician wasted no time in telling his female apprentice to thoroughly clean me up before he started treating me. After a few minutes, she was done with the clean up and she called him to come treat me. He did so cautiously but he had a bitter expression on his face as he did so. I could not read his thoughts but it was obvious that he wasn't happy with what he saw. After treating me, he walked towards the direction where lukas stood. “Her injuries are severe and the chances of her survival are slim. Who asked you to bring her here?” I heard the physician speak to Lukas. “My Lord asked her to be brought here, do I tell him these exact words?” Lukas asked him. “Yes, he needs to come see her just in case she doesn't make it” the physician said to Lukas and he wasted no time in leaving to deliver the message. In less than ten minutes, the alpha supreme arrived and I could tell that he wasn’t happy with what he was told due to the facial expression he had on. “What is this I hear?” he asked the physician and the physician repeated the exact same words he said to lukas. “I do not care how you do it but she must not die.” the alpha supreme instructed him. “I’m sorry, Alberto, but this is beyond me. Her wounds are months old and filled with infections. She is malnourished and lacking what she needs for recovery. Only the mercies of the moon goddess can heal her right now.” the physician explained. The alpha supreme walked to me and I could hear the pounding of my chest from so much anxiety. “I do not care how, but you must not die.” he whispered in my ear and it sounded like a warning. Fear gripped me and I wondered if my situation only became worse.GONZALO’S POVThe floor split open like a wound. Stone screamed. Dust choked the air. And from the dark below, it rose. It wasn’t a devorer. It wasn’t a wolf or even a dog.It was bigger than both. Bigger than a house. Black scales, dripping with old blood and slime. Four arms, each ending in claws as long as swords. A head with no eyes, just a mouth full of teeth inside teeth. It smelled like death that had been buried and dug up again. The room went silent. Even the dogs stopped. Enzo was on his knees, bleeding from the throat, but he was laughing. “Meet my masterpiece,” he gurgled. “The Devourer King. I fed it prisoners for a year. It’s hungry.” The thing lifted its head and roared. The sound shook the walls. More cracks split across the floor. Alberto was already moving. He was hurt, poisoned, bleeding , but he was on his feet. He grabbed Sapphire and shoved her behind him. “Get back!” he ordered. Sapphire didn’t listen. She never did. She pulled a dagge
KAISER’S POVI couldn’t move. Not my arms. Not my legs. The witch’s magic had me locked in place, chains biting into my wrists, blood drying on my skin. But my mind? My mind was free. I could hear everything. Enzo’s laugh. Sapphire screaming Gonzalo’s name. Alberto choking. And underneath it all , breathing. Not human breathing. Dog breathing . Twelve of them. Hidden in the rafters, in the shadows behind the banners, in the cracks of the stone where Enzo thought no one could fit. I’d put them there hours ago. Before we were captured. Before the dungeon. Before the powder. I’d spent three nights in Enzo’s kitchens pretending to be a maid. I’d left scraps. I’d left blood. And I’d whispered. “When I call, you come. When I call, you kill.” Soul-speaking wasn’t just for people. It worked on beasts too. If you were patient. If you were cruel enough. Enzo had Alberto by the throat. Gonzalo in the other hand. “You will watch,” he said, voice dripping like ho
GONZALO’S POVThe stairs to the inner keep were wet. Not with water but with blood, my sense of smell couldn’t let that get by me.We took them two at a time. Alberto in front. Sapphire and Kaiser behind me. The men fanned out, shields up. Every step echoed. Every step smelled like iron. At the top, the doors were open. The throne room was massive. Black stone, high ceilings, banners of Enzo’s house ripped down and replaced with something new. Something twisted. Skins. Bones. Trophies. And in the center, on a raised platform of jagged rock, stood Enzo. He wasn’t alone. Twenty devorers lined the walls, crouched, waiting. And around Enzo’s feet, three witches. Their hands glowing faint blue. Their eyes completely white. Enzo clapped slowly when he saw us. “Family reunion,” he said. “How touching.” Alberto didn’t answer. He walked to the center of the room and stopped. Ten feet from Enzo. I stopped at his shoulder. Sapphire and Kaiser stopped behind us, breathing
GONZALO’S POVThe drainage tunnel stank. Wet stone, rot, and something worse underneath it , the smell of the devorers. Like wet fur and old meat left too long in the sun. We moved in a line. Alberto in front, me right behind him, then five of our best. No torches. No talking. Just the sound of water dripping and our boots in the muck. Alberto looked worse than he should. The bandage on his chest was already dark again. But his eyes? Clear. Cold. The Alpha was back. He raised a fist. We stopped. Up ahead, faint torchlight flickered against the tunnel walls. Voices. Two guards. “...told you he wouldn’t come,” one of them laughed. “Alpha’s probably hiding in some cave, crying over his Luna.” “Shut up,” the other snapped. “Enzo said if they get through, we die.” Alberto didn’t even look back at me. He just moved. Silent. Fast. I followed half a second later. My blade went in under the first guard’s chin. Up. Twist. He dropped without a sound. Alberto’s did the
Sapphire’s PovI groaned, turning over the page of the book I was reading. I wasn't much of a reader; I’d never brought myself to like art when I was young. So, me reading was a clear sign that something was wrong—and "wrong" being that I was bored out of my skin.I hadn’t seen Alberto in days, and

Sapphire’s POVI felt a firm hand hold me up to prevent me from falling but my visions were still blurry and the whole flashbacks felt too much to comprehend.
