DanteI lay on the bed and allowed all the thoughts to run through my head. Susan, just as she said, had booked a separate room for me.While she shared one room with Autumn, which was better because she shouldn’t be alone at this time, I stayed in mine. I deliberately didn’t come out for dinner in the hotel’s cafeteria because I didn’t want to have any encounter with Autumn.I was too upset and heartbroken for that.Or maybe she wasn’t the only reason I was feeling this way.“I cannot marry Maria,” I said to myself over and over again. My dad and granduncle Gonzalez had been calling nonstop after I left Autumn, but I haven’t responded to any of their calls or even listened to their voice messages. There was no point; I knew just why they were calling, and I wasn’t in the mood to have that conversation with them.“Would you be calling off the wedding if you didn’t fall for Autumn Taylor, your stepsister?” A voice in my head asked me.I didn’t give a response to it.Dominic might have

DanteI didn’t expect Autumn to agree so easily. The reason I said it the way I did was because I didn’t want to go through the ordeal of having to argue with her.She was the most stubborn woman I had ever met…well, after which, Susan would be next.Susan took her own flight and returned to her city. When Autumn accepted to return to Italy with me, Susan hadn’t tried to talk her out of it. Instead, she simply hugged Autumn tightly, promised to keep in touch, and got into her taxi.Autumn and I got into the plane, heading back to Italy. When we were leaving a few days ago, I didn’t think that she wouldn’t return with me, but after everything that had happened, I thought I was going to return without her.Going back to that house without Autumn Taylor just felt like emptiness already, and if I was being honest with myself, Andrew’s call was just the reason I needed to talk Autumn into returning with me. It was a complicated situation between us, but then again, there was nothing else I

DanteGranduncle Gonzalez already instructed me to come to him, but I wanted to see Maria and talk to her first before going to him.It was all part of the plan.Dominic was already doing the background work. All I needed to do was play along so that when it would happen, which I hoped would be soon enough, it would not some off as a setup.“I told you not to bring her back here,” Maria stated the moment I walked into her bedroom.I was upset about how authoritative she was sounding, but I decided to swallow that up and play along.“She is in danger,” I told Maria softly.“I don’t give a fuck if the devil wants her himself!” She bellowed angrily, her voice hitting the roof. “Why must her own needs come first?” Maria asked me fiercely.“I am only looking out for her,” I told Maria.I was really trying so hard not to lose it with her. First of all, the plan had to work, and secondly, I could already see Maria and me acting like my dad and mum, and I didn’t want that. It was even one of

AutumnI stayed in my room and refused to come out. Even when I was informed that dinner had been served, I still didn’t come out.I just wanted to stay back in the room and think about everything that had happened to me in the last couple of days. It just felt like life was very tough for me and nothing was working really well. I still couldn’t stop thinking about what my dad had gotten himself into.If Dante hadn’t come to my rescue, I would have been dragged down the same path as he.I shuddered at the thought of it.Worse, Monaco wouldn’t let me be.“I am innocent in all this. Why am I being dragged into this?” I asked myself painfully.Alone, I cried and allowed the tears to flow freely. Since the incident happened, I hadn’t really gotten time alone to think deeply about my life and everything that had happened so far. I never envisioned that things would turn out the way it did, but it did, and no one sought my opinion about it.Even when my parents got divorced, they didn’t eve

DanteI hadn’t seen or spoken to Sanchez since I got back, but as soon as I stormed out of Autumn’s room, I sent him a message.“That bastard,” I muttered with rage.I didn’t set eyes on him, but the fact that he still had the audacity to be threatening Autumn rose the beast inside of me. However, before leaving, I needed to sort something out.I knocked as soon as I got to Dominic’s door, and Camille opened the door. There was something instantly different about her demeanor, which I couldn’t place, but I didn’t dwell on it because I didn’t even care about it. I already had an appointment I didn’t want to miss.“Dominic is not here,” she said.“I am not here for Dominic,” I responded. Why was she being so unwelcoming and hostile? Ever since the sex happened between us, which we both agreed was a mistake, things had been quite cordial between us even though we rarely saw each other or had the chance to speak with each other. Even Dominic had no clue as to what happened, but judging b
