“IT’S YOU!” “Me.” I’m looking at the guy who knocked me out a week ago. Elio Mordecai. He has a lollipop in his mouth and the bag of snacks he got is hanging from his elbow. His hair is damp but he still looks gorgeous. I am almost lost in his looks but I remember why I’m here and what he has stolen from me. “You stole my cake.” “How was it your cake? It was literally sitting on the shelf.” “Well- I was about to buy it. I searched the whole store for it.” “Too bad. I got it first.” Ugh! “Will you sell it to me?” “No.” “Why not?” “Because I want it.” “But I want it more!” “I don’t care. You can get it some other time. The store restocks weekly.” “Actually, we won’t be getting anything until after two weeks.” The cashier pipes in. “What?! Why?!” Elio and I yell! “Someone forgot to place an order ahead of time. How cute. After that night at Roman’s, my life fell into the cycle of attending classes, training with Phineas, personally training and having sessions with Roman whenever he regained the energy he used in the session before. I’m still very unfamiliar with the concept of curse dispelling so I don’t know what kind of energy Roman uses. Maybe I’ll ask him sometime. It would be nice to get to know him better. And like that, the month came to an end. FIRST DAY OF COMBAT MASTERY EVALUATION. LEVEL E. There are three rings in front of us and on each ring is an instructor who we will be fighting. Apart from the fact that these evaluations are for the school to see how far we’ve improved, the students have two reasons why they put an effort. Firstly is to be upgraded to a higher level and the second is to be upgraded to a higher rank in our level. I am currently ranked 500 in Level E. I would love to go for a higher level but I will be realistic and just focus on avoiding my impending
