Leo’s P.O.V.“Wow,” Elise stares at me as I come out of the bathroom dressed in the suit that they wanted me to wear to the council meeting.“Do you know how to tie one of these?” I ask, frustrated with trying to make it look normal. Elise’s POV0“I can’t believe it’s only eight o’clock, it feels like two in the morning,” Leo says as he tosses a sweatshirt over his head and changes into a pair of sweatpants. "Do we need to worry about the breach? Is there anything I need to be doing?" he asks. I can tell he feels like he needs to be out there trying to handle it, but he has no idea what could be there, and because he can't shift it would be certain death if a rogue got him. Lucas' POV0“Wait, hold on, just calm down for a second Roman.” I grab Roman’s arm and turn him towards me before he shifts. “You can’t shift in front of this moron. He may not know anything about our kind, and if you shift we may not find out what the hell he’s doing here. Let’s just grab the kid and bring him back. Stefan’s POV0I finish stuffing the basic things we will need into one backpack and another larger backpack duffle bag.0“Come on, we need to move fast.” We head out of the cabin and there is a part of me that is worried that this girl is going to just take off. I contemplate cuffing her in some way, but it will just slow us down.0“I need you to believe me when I say that Eric will kill you. He won’t hesitate. I'm trying to help you. If you run, you will die.” I know I’m scaring her, but she should be scared. Elise’s POV0I look at the clock and it’s almost three am. When they brought Leo back to the room last night he was completely exhausted and fell asleep the minute his head hit the pillow, but for the last fifteen minutes he's been twisting in the bed sheets, gripping them in his fists and mumbling. His eyes are moving under closed lids and his breathing is going crazy, like he's been running a marathon. I gently try and wake him by placing my hand on his chest, and I can feel his heart pounding, but he’s in a deep sleep. He kicks his legs several times and then lets out a scream that I’m sure is heard by the entire floor. Leo’s POV0I spent the day mostly getting my ass kicked around the arena, but possibly for the first time in my life I don’t feel weak. I feel like I I’m learning how to defend myself, how to take control of my strength and body, and that I am actually capable of movements and reactions that I didn’t know I had. It’s like unlocking a part of myself, and letting it go freely without the fear of being kicked out of school or getting sent back to juvi. Angie’s POV0The sound of the door shutting wakes me up abruptly and I look around the motel room, disoriented for a second before I remember where I am. I must have fallen asleep the minute my head hit the pillow last night, but I have an overwhelming need to pee and I hop out of bed and dart to the bathroom.
