Author's POV:The excitement outside the orphanage was contagious. The workers and older children waited outside for the arrival of the Triplets. Melanie joined a coworker with ginger hair who stood out front with a great view.In a matter of minutes, the Triplets made their entrance. They were followed by an entourage of black cars, including the Alpha of the Silver Pack and his followers. From an upstairs window, Mia watched the cars as they parked, forming a long line.Guards filed out of the cars and walked over to three other black cars. Mia guessed that it must belong to the Triplets. After all, it looked much more expensive than the other cars lined up. But just as the front door was being opened, a little kid pulled Mia's hand asking for her attention.“Oh, what's wrong?” She asked, following after him and leaving her view at the window. One of the Triplets stepped out.“It’s Alpha Jackson,” one of the workers muttered.Jackson was the first to step out. He wore an impeccable

Author’s POV:The Triplets couldn’t think of anything else except to find where that scent was coming from. It drew them in, calling on them like a sweet melody. They were enthralled by the scent. Nothing mattered anymore.“Upstairs?” the manager repeated, a little confused.“Are there any workers left inside the orphanage?” Jaxon asked as Jackson took a few steps forward, sniffing the air.The manager gasped as she saw the color of the Triplets eyes. It was the red color of Alphas. Something was happening. She tried not to stutter as she replied. “A few of the workers stayed with the smaller children who couldn't come out to welcome you.”“Take us to them,” Jace ordered, surprising himself as a low growl slipped out.“That won't be necessary,” Jackson said, “I have the scent.” The Triplets took the staircase up, followed closely by the manager who instructed everyone to wait. Alpha James and Hudson entered the orphanage to follow them.Jackson walked straight to the children's playro

Mia’s POV:“What?!” I exclaimed in disbelief. I saw Hudson and Alpha James standing a few feet away. My eyes lingered on my ex-husband for a few minutes, reawakening the feelings and hurt that I had buried for so long.“You heard him,” one of the Triplets added, taking my attention back to them. He was the one called Jackson, “You're our mate.”“Is this some kind of a joke?” I scoffed, folding my hand across my chest. The Triplet wearing the blue t-shirt and khaki coloured trousers approached me, raising his hands. “We mean no harm. It’s the truth. You must have felt it.”I scoffed. I did feel something when I looked into their eyes. But it wasn't enough. Hudson is my mate, was. There was no way that the moon goddess would give me another mate, talk less of three after all that I've been through. It sounded too cruel. It's like she's trying to play a joke on me and put me through hell. I was burning with rage.“Do you think you can just come in here and say whatever you want? Is this

Author’s POV:Mia didn't know where she was going. All she knew was that she walked over to the small apartment she shared with Melanie and parked a few of her things. Melanie was sleeping at the orphanage tonight for a night shift with the younger kids. She couldn't just leave and make her worry. Instead, she grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote her a message:Melanie,I’m sorry to do this but I need some space. Staying at the orphanage means that I have to see the Triplets again. I don't think I want another mate, Mel. I won't put myself in a situation like that again.I don't when I'll be back but don't look for me. Tell Jennifer that I quit. Take care of yourself.Love,Mia xxx.She folded the note and kept it by her bedside table where she was sure Melanie would see it when she came in to sleep.Getting one last look at the house, Mia locked the doors and took the bus to the next town. She didn't know anyone there but maybe She could start a new life. Without the burden of her past

Mia's POV:Talking to Glenda was easier than I thought. She had this calming and free spirit about her. I almost forgot the reason I was here in the first place until I was done with my meal. And it was an incredible chicken stew.“You want seconds?” Glenda asked, picking up our bowls.“No, thank you,” I said, waving my hands in front of her. “I'm good.”“Hmm,” she said thoughtfully, looking at the pot, “I thought I perfected the recipe. I guess it's not any good then. Oh well.” She dropped the plates in the sink.“No, no, that was the best stew I've ever had. I mean it. I'm just full or I'd have helped myself to the whole pot.” I chuckled, nervously.“Oh great then, we can open tomorrow.” She said cheerfully. “I've been trying to make the best stew this town has ever tasted for the past week. Thankfully, you came in at the right time to taste my final recipe.”I offered her a smile. “Glad to help.”“So, what were you saying, child?” Glenda asked, fixing her attention on me. I swallow

Author's POV:“WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE?!” Jaxon barked, unable to control his anger.Melanie was startled, taking a step back. “I mean she left. When I got home yesterday, she wasn't back and there was a note by my bed,” she said, bringing out the note from her pocket. She handed it over to Jaxon who read it and passed it to his brothers.“I knew it. We shouldn't have come off on her like that.” He growled, standing to his feet and causing the chair to scrape on the ground loudly.“She's run off?” Jace asked, being the last to read the note. “But why? We were polite, we told her that we would wait for her to think about it.”“It’s the f*cking ex-husband,” Jackson growled. “She’s been so hurt by the little turd that she can’t move past it and let us love her.”“What do we do?”Jaxon was silent and they could tell that the wheels in his head were turning. He was thinking about what they were going to do next. Before they could fix this, they needed to find her first.“We need to find her.

Author's POV:It had already been a week. Jackson and Jace joined the search. They managed to track down her scent to the town two hours away but after that, her scent just vanished, like she never existed. It put the Triplets on edge. They created a reward for anyone who had information on Mia, thousands of dollars were offered up. The Alphas of smaller packs joined the search as well. They wanted to one-up each other and get on the Triplet's good side. They would do anything and now, their one chance was to find Mia.The Triplets didn't disclose why they wanted her. They figured that if their enemies found out that she was their mate, they would try to use her as a weakness.Every day, wolves reported back a futile search to them. It didn't matter how skilled they were, they couldn't find her.“Mia doesn't want to be found and she's doing a good job about it,” Jaxon said exasperated as he sat in his office with his brothers. Jackson and Jace had just returned from their search. Each

Author's POV:Jackson flipped the desk, shattering it against the wall with a growl. There were claw marks on the walls as well. “Where is she?!” He growled furiously.Jaxon sat there, his legs crossed, watching the scene unfold. The longer they were away from Mia, the more they went insane. With each passing day, Jaxon was growing obsessed with finding her. Initially, he had been wary of her.She had been so powerful to make each of his brothers lose control of their senses. He was always the calm and collected one but the moment he had found her, he had felt this animalistic side of him come alive. He wasn't as excited to find a mate anymore if this was the power she had over him.Jackson on the other end was furious. He grew angrier and angrier every day. Angry at the wolves who couldn't find Mia and angry at her for running away. All that anger was finally causing him to burst.Neither Jace nor Jaxon stopped him from tearing through this room.Jace was sulking with a broken heart.

Mia’s POV:After they closed the store for the day, Glenda and I sat with cups of coffee. The sun had set a long time ago and the stars were out.“So that's one of the legendary Triplets who's your mate?” Glenda asked after she had taken a sip.MiIa nodded. “I’m still surprised that he didn't recognize me.” The thought gave her some semblance of peace. She would never be found here unless she wanted them to.But thinking that Jaxon must have been searching for me, broke my heart a little. He didn't look that good and there was a hint of a shadow under his eyes. Something was stressing him. Before he left the cottage, he had asked me where the nearest gas station was. I didn't know so Glenda had to come talk to him.‘Can you see how much he wants you?’ Cassey asked, finally speaking up after such a long time. I expected her to be agitated and to pressure me to go back. But strangely, she had been at peace. I attributed it to the magic of this place.Glenda hummed a response. “Your coff

Author's POV:It had been several weeks since the Triplets had attended to anything relating to the council. Their focus was on Mia and the council of wolves needed them to finalize decisions relating to their pack.Neither Jackson nor Jace, was in the right frame of mind to make any decision. Not even Jaxon himself. They were obsessed with finding their mate. Every waking hour was spent pondering where she had gone.It was almost like she had disappeared from the surface of the earth and it scared them to bits to think about it. What was worse was how Jaxon was feeling. After imagining the scent of her at that cottage, he seemed to have lost all the qualities that pointed him out as the leader of the Triplets. He still thought about that cottage but he had been wrong. He knew that she wasn't the one but his heart had said that she was the one. It had confused him and overridden his sense of thinking. Jaxon began to doubt his judgment. If he wasn't sound enough to tell people apart, h
