Stiles.I was still holding this student wolf that had been roughly handled by the rogue. Damn. What was it thinking? Why would it fight a rogue with this… this small size?Since that painful crash, it hadn't shifted back. I leaned down to check its breathing. My hearing met the steady thumping of its heart.Thump.Thump.Okay, it's still alive. I turned back briefly to see Sky, Riven’s roommate. He was still on the other side, where he was clutching his chest. With the visible red liquid trailing between his fingers, I was sure he had been injured too. My gaze came back to the wolf in my arms.“Come on…” I whispered, lightly shaking it. It was supposed to have shifted back by now. Then, slowly, I heard its bones snapping. Its body started convulsing. What? A student wolf who had not fully mastered its shifting was stupid enough to fight a rogue? What if it died?I still held it in my arms as its body jerked again and again until… flesh started covering fur. And then, his face shifted

Riven. The mark on the body of this rogue was exactly the same as what was on the council member. And for all I know, that could never be a coincidence. That mark meant something, and that was what I was yet to figure out.I stood beside the body, watching as the top trainers examined it. They were making sure it wasn’t something that was going to put the pack’s health in danger based on its Orphtra state.Stiles was standing beside me silently as we both watched the body being examined.I could feel that hotness from earlier—the one by the side of my chest, at that exact place where Sky had been scratched. I could feel the stinging on the spot. My hand flew to my chest to rub it, even though nothing was physically there.“Alpha,” Stiles called, breaking the silence between us.“Hmmn?”“This doesn't mean that the rogue was the killer, right?” Stiles asked, turning briefly to me and then back to the body.Even though this rogue had managed to find its way into the school, I was very mu

Lara.I was at my site when I heard about the rogue attack. I was informed that Riven had saved some students who were being attacked by the rogue.I tried to reach him, but he wasn’t taking his calls. So I had to go see him, to know if everything was okay with him.I walked into his dorm, and the cool air in the quiet hallway hit me. I walked in slow yet hasty movements, wanting to reach there as quickly as possible. As I approached his door, I could see a ray of light peeking out from the inside. He must be inside, I thought.I walked faster towards it, and just before my hand connected with the handle in order to open the door, I heard it.“My fucking mate.”The voice from inside — it was undeniably Riven’s voice. My brain went 360°. I didn’t bother to knock. I pushed the door open, the last four-lettered word leaving my mouth straight from my thoughts.“Mate?”“What mate, Riven?” I asked before I looked at him properly. He was standing there in the middle of the living room with t

Stiles.“Don't forget, your research has to be ready by the next class.” The voice of the trainer was loud amongst the humming and low murmurs of the students who were already on their way out of the class. This was my fifth class for the day, it had already ended.I stood up from my seat, picking up my bag just before I turned to leave for my next class.“Hey, Beta.” I heard someone call. I turned, my eyes searching for who. Then I saw who. From the other edge of the large hall, my eyes met his. The face was familiar, but not so familiar a face. I couldn't remember…Oh! Yes. It clicked instantly. The gray-eyed guy from some nights ago—Sky’s boyfriend. The one I had saved from the rogue. Yes. That was him. What was he doing here?He was grinning from ear to ear as he walked towards me. Now standing in front of me, the glasses he had on didn't do justice to the beautiful eyes behind them.“Hi,” I greeted, halting my movement. “You’re the guy from…”He smiled a small, shy smile. “Yeah. T

Sky.I was going to class for the first time in at least one week. I hadn't been able to do much, and just so you know, it wasn't because of the attack or because my injury was that bad. It was bad but… I already had it sorted out, although i was still healing.Somehow, that attack was a perfect excuse. Because, I had a whole lot of planning to do — my next mission.I had to get the settings and the necessities for the next mission ready. It required a lot of time. This target wasn't like the others. This was a she-wolf; she was said to be very tough and tactical, so I needed every preparation there was.I also had to prepare myself mentally for what I had to do. i mean, it not like I was going t take ice cream. I was taking life and… it wasn't an honourable job.As I walked into the hall, it was my first class for the day. My wolf stirred, in that usual pattern that it hadn't done in a while. I needed not to be told; I already knew why. Riven.I turned my head in the direction of the
