Michael turned on his heel for the umpteenth time as he slowly paced around his office, counting his steps one at a time. His usually tidy desk was a mess of files, papers, and cups of coffee he had stayed up with the night before. His usually styled hair was ruffled up from constantly running his fingers through it. He chewed at his inner cheek, as if trying to push his frustration into it. 'I love you, Michael', 'Don't you trust me?', 'I'm pregnant, Michael'. Memories of Diane pleading and crying rushed into his head once more, and he could almost hear her voices as she stressed that she was being framed. He pictured the hurt in her eyes when he had accused her and when he had fired her. "Fuck," He cursed, burying his face in his hands. He didn't know what to believe any longer. Or rather, he knew what to believe, but he was choosing not to do so yet. He had sent Bernard to compare the two images, the ones Diane had been in and the one that had been addressed to Tiffany.
