Chapter 21: INTERMISSION

BALQIS'S POV "A..Adonai?" He coughed, but managed to pull a mask and put it on me. "Are you fine?" I pulled his hand, both happy and terrified at the same time. "Let's leave there's fire and..." "I set everything up. No fire, but will buy me time until..." I pulled him to myself and hugged him, without letting him complete those words. Seeing him is already a blessing on its own. I don't need any explanations. It was slow, but he lifted his hand and hugged me back, so tightly that he could break my bones if I were an enemy. "I'm sorry. I didn't leave you" I hugged him back letting the tears flow and he released me, "Let's get out of here" I obeyed without question, and in the next minute, I was amidst the chaos with our masks on, trying to act like one of the people running around trying to get away from something that was never fire."Hey!" An officer's voice made me stop immediately when we got to the exit of the main building. Adonai pinned me to the wall immediately with

Chapter 22

THIRD PERSON POV “Did you wife know anything?” Nirvana asked as she lubed Keiran's cock. The latter was on cloud 9, hus hand was on Nirvana's well made hair, messing it up as she toyed with his cock. “Did you know you have bad timing for things huh?” “I realized she's been too gentle these days and always smiling. I hate it” Keiran snapped his cock from her hand and pushed it into her mouth. “Suck on that. You're ruining my mood by mentioning her name” She sucked him faster, happily and almost chocking. “Urghhh yeah.. that's how a good girl does” He came quickly and pulled out to shot the bullet on her breasts. It was until he was calm, cleaned himself and eat her out did he have time to listen. “Did you notice anything out of ordinary?” “I just feel she's strange these days and…” He put a finger on her lips. “Nick is my wife and my Luna. She'll never do anything irrational so, get dressed. I heard your brother-in-law is coming to the school today” Nirva

Chapter 23

ADONAI'S POVSheila pulled me to a corner as soon as Balqis left my side to look for her kid. “What the fuck are you doing?” “What are talking about?” She beat her chest as a matter of factly. “How does it feel to humiliate your wife in front of everyone?” Her assumptions aren't clear to me yet. “Sheila what are you saying?” She pushed my chest, making my back touch the cold tiles. “Must you tell everyone out there that you were fuckin Balqis? That pathetic wolf-less bitch was even appointed PTA chairman”Now I understand where she was going. I haven't told her what Balqis and I planned after her release from the police station. I'd decided never to leave her anymore. I would stay by her side and our son. Isis wasn't mine anyway. “Everything between you and I is just a contract, I hope you remember that and stay in your lane” I told her, attempted to leave, she pulled me back. “Is this the plan? You must be anxious to humiliate me so much, I see” I hissed, her sense of humor

CHAPTER 24

BALQIS'S POV If humiliation had a face, then it would be the kind of disgrace I encountered today. I still don't know who released me from prison, and sent me that message but I was sure that Luna onika definitely has a hand in it. I was about entering my small car when she stopped behind me. “Do I have a moment, Mrs Malkova?” I closed the car immediately. “Oh Luna Onika, I'm so sorry that I haven't apologized for what happened and appreciate you for your help and support when I was there….” “No. You don't have to apologize” she smiled pleasantly, refusing my hand for handshake but hugging me instead. “I should apologize for my husband and neighbor's rash behavior even though Nirvana was your sister, she's still a neighbor to me” Over since the past days, I've been hiding myself from the world. Everyone called me a murderer anywhere I go. I couldn't get back to my part jobs and Riot was also facing several bullying which made things hard for us. But Luna Onika came to my ho

Chapter 25

BALQIS'S POV My mind wasn't at rest. I've been receiving several calls from different parents, wanting to ask me one thing or the other. As the new PTA chairman, my phone number and house address have been automatically dropped on the school blog. “Is it true that you really murdered that girl?” “Is your small son a school bully?” I was tired of receiving questions for which I couldn't provide an answer. I just had to switch off my phone and get dinner ready. “Mommy why did Isis's dad hate me?” Riot asked suddenly, looking up from his school books. “I noticed that you always look at me somehow” My heart trembled. “Of… of course not. Why will he hate you?” “Mommy?” He got up and approached me in the kitchen. “On the day of your arrest, I really said bad things to him. I…” His gaze dropped. “You said a bad thing to him?” I grabbed his hand. “Tell me, what did you say?” “He refused to help you” he whined. “I have no choice but to say my mind. If it were my daddy, he'd save yo

Chapter 26

ADONAI'S POVI was tired of trying to make Sheila understand my point.I guess she'd taken this marriage seriously and believed that even after conquering Julius, both of us would remain a couple. She pulled her bag out of the bedroom door furiously. “You used me, now that your lover is back you're acting all stupid? I'd leave before you bring her into this house!” I got up, now furious at her madness more than I was earlier through her jabs. “Did you forget she was my first love? Did you forget we're contract couples?” “She's still not your wife!!” She repeated that line she'd been telling me since we came back from school. I got up now and approached her. Because even though Balqis is back, I still need Sheila to make her mine fully. “See, Sheila, we don't need to argue over this irrational matter. Just…” “Irrational?” She scoffed. “Now, I see why Gwi ended your life. What should I even expect from a man who fucked his best friend's mate and impregnated her?” “Are you mad?”

Chapter 27

THIRD PERSON POV 9PM BEFORE RIOT CALLED ADONAIBalqis arrived at the school playground with a flashlight, looking around like a thief, trying to avoid any security guards. She checked her pocket to grab her phone and check the time incase she'd come too early, but her phone wasn't there. "Fuck it!" She screeched realizing the phone was left at home. Heart pounding, she flashed the light through the playground again. "A...anyone here?" Nothing seems to be coming but out of nowhere, a hand grabbed her from behind, thick palms over her mouth muffling her sound. "Shh... Don't freak out" Balqis spun around, suffocating, even if she did wanted to freak out, the hand on her mouth and nose wouldn't allow. Trying her best, she pushed his hand away and faced a man with a mask similar to the one she'd seen at the club in the past. Her heart froze. "You... Who are you?" The fellow turned off his own torch, prompting her to turn off hers. Even though she was insecure, she still had to use

Chapter 28

BALQIS'S POV My breathing shallowed, Adonai's face was closer to mine immediately I opened them. "Hey," He blinked, his eyes mesmerizing and captivating me out of nowhere. I stilled, waited with bated breath, he reached out, pulled hair from my face, and patted my cheek. "You fine?” “Hun” I managed to hum, still not taking my eyes off his deep blue eyes. His hand was still on my cheek. “I was worried about you. Glad you're fine” I still didn't say anything; I stared o. It got to a certain point, and I didn't hear his voice anymore. Not because he wasn't audible, I was drunk. Drunk in his glare, he suddenly looked new, the movement of his lips, and jawline…. “Can you talk?” His voice jerked me back from my trance, I blinked, then tried sitting up with his help. “Should I get you water?” “Where's this?” My surroundings looked nothing like my house or anywhere I'd seen before. I scanned. “Is this Bermuda mansion?” He got up from the bed, moved to the TV set, and turn

Chapter 29

BALQIS'S POV Sheila and Keiran jerked up, “N…Nirvana?” “Keiran you dog! So you could cheat on me?” This word almost made me laugh. Sheila was flustered; perhaps this was her first time. Keiran approached Nirvana to calm her, but she refused it. “I trusted you! You….” “You're not my wife, Nirvana” Keiran said suddenly. “Sheila here is more sweeter than you ever could and….” “You don't deserve any love!” “Are you in love with me?” Sheila chuckled as Kieran asked this, but Nirvana was fast; she hurled the stick she had with her at Sheila. Keiran blocked it, his Alpha energy manifesting because his eyes changed colors. “Enough of your madness now, Nirvana. Go back home to your husband” Adonai took my hand after this and pulled me back into the room, his grip harsh and strong. I didn't protest and tried to move as gently as I could, to prevent discovery. As we got back into the room, I adjusted my dress. “How do we leave here…” He pulled me to himself. “I'm sorry you had to wi

Chapter 30

BALQIS’S POV My heart couldn’t be at rest. No. I don’t think it could ever be at rest anymore till eternity. The house was empty, and I glanced around slowly, tears running down my face like a fountain. “Why?” I just wanted to be happy with my son. “Why this, goddess?” It has always been Riot and me, and we wanted peace!! I thought I was free from my past, but this? “Riot is just a boy!!” I yelled to no one in particular, “he deserved a happy childhood, not this.” The alarm suddenly blared as I was still crying, reminding me that the time was 4:30 AM — time to wake up to prepare my son’s breakfast. I forced myself back to my feet even though my tired body. The night has been madly hectic, and it’s right that I prepare Riot’s breakfast, for when Elon brings him home late. At least I know he’s safe at the Bermuda mansion. Getting up, the folder I had on my lap dropped to the floor. I froze midair! These had evidence that I committed a murder I never knew about and was
