Melody’s POV I was slightly releaved with Teddy’s explanation for the police officer. I knew the human police could be dicks to outsiders of the town, I had just never witnessed it before. I also knew I had too little money and too little time for hiring a private investigator. I would rather lose the business entirely and start from scratch if Mike got even one cent from me selling. Melody’s POV I arrived at the house before Teddy, so I went inside to prepare the salad, using some fresh spring greens and romain lettuce. I shaved some carrots and diced onion and tomatoes, finishing it all off with a sprinkle of garlic. I then went to the fridge to see what types of dressings I had left. There wasn’t much of anything, so I grabbed my raspberry preserves. I got out some peanut oil and vinegar from the cabinet as well as a glass measuring cup. I scooped out a tablespoon of raspberry preserves and did equal parts oil and vinegar, mixing them together, making a simple raspberry vinaigrette. I went to the back yard after that to start up the grill to get it hot, pausing at the back door though, sensing something was off. “This way.” I brought him through the house and to the back door. Teddy and Chip had the bomb on a table, studying the contraption before disassembling it. “Alpha Scott, this is my second, Charles Glover.” Teddy indicated Chip, who was right next to him. “Chip, if you’d like.” Chip reached out his hand and shook Alpha Scott’s. “So this is the bomb?” Alpha Scott looked at the contraption before them. Teddy nodded and he and Chip began to disassemble it.When they got to the inner mechanics, they found another bag of silver powder and shrapnel. “Fucking hell” Alpha Scott dragged his hand down his face, obviously overwhelmed. “And where did you find this?” Teddy showed him the hole where the bomb was, then the trail he had followed. “Melody said she hasn’t been out here in the past few days, so it’s probably been last night or the day before sometime early.” Alpha Scott sniffed the air, taking in the smell at the wall. “It is definitely Black Haven.” He said after a moment.
