AZALEA“Daffy had another heart attack. You must come back here quick, Miss Lea” The doctor reported and my hands went numb immediately. “What… Did you just say, doctor?” His voice was panic stricken as he yelled again, “Your brother in danger, Miss Lea. Come here quickly!” Hearing it, I stood frozen on the sidewalk, the doctor’s voice echoing in my ear, over and over again. Daffodil again! Pain rose to my chest, my throat hitched and I felt like crying, but this is no time to cry. I ended the call quickly and pocketed my phone before sprinting towards the subway. Daffy must be in terrible pain.He had no one but me! My chest hurt even more at the thought of that. My phone rang again, and I quickly picked it up, in case it was the doctor, but no. It was Poppy. My stepsister."Where on earth are you, Lea? Have you forgotten I must hand in my assignment before the next class?” she barked like she always does.“I can’t!” I snapped breathlessly. “The doctor just called, that Daffy h

AZALEA’S POV NEXT MORNING I woke up with a jolt, as I found myself in the middle of a wide bed alone and half naked. Panic surged as I instinctively throw the sheets over myself as if they could shield me from whatever it was. My eyes had easily adjusted to the dim lighting of the room and I scanned the room, it was ancient and old school. The wall told the same story as the tapestries hung on the wall like museum pieces. I mean who keeps an old Mona Lisa painting in the bedroom? My memory was hazy as fog, my mind was blank and I couldn’t remember anything despite the aches that I felt in my groin. I haven’t processed anything when the door creaked open and a man walked in majestically like a king. I coiled into the duvet more, and he stopped by the bedside looking at me strangely. I was also surprised mesmerized by this man standing before me looking like a demi god. Those golden eyes, tall frame and strong build was something any average girl could die for, but it scar

AZALEA’S POV Daffy was having his meal when I rushed in like a mad creature. Relief plunged me as I hugged him tightly. I’m so happy he’s fine or how else should I continue to live my life without him? “Sis” He tapped my back and I released him. “Why are you crying? Is this my first surgery?” I beat his back lightly, “Did you know how worried I was? I thought something must’ve happened you I..." My voice caught in my throat and guilt enveloped me. A flash of that man’s cold, intense eyes invaded my mind. Fear tightened its grip around my heart, *Were you worrying about him when you had a crazy sex with that man you just killed?* My mind asked but I couldn’t answer. “Lea!” Daffy snapped to my face jerking me awake. I have been hallucinating. How on earth can I get that man out of my brain. I groaned. Daffy looked at me with a strange expression, “Lea what happened to you?” I quickly composed myself, I can’t get Daffy worrying about me when he’s the one with heart disease

EDWIN CLARK~ I stepped out of the class with a wide smile more than I smiled in the past hundred years. The feeling of having a mate is already a good thing and now, my mate was a drama queen…I haven’t been as happy as thin in the past few years. Who kills a vampire with a dagger? She promised me to be back when she left eight hundred years ago and she did. Then, she was a princess whose life was very perfect, and the only dark spot in her life was me. A human princess in love with a vampire. I got to my office and sank on the chair with a heavy sigh. Being a college professor after leading a lonely, wealthy life is really not bad for a change. Only a Vampire could relate how terrible it was to spend eight centuries in silence and abstinence. Then she came, and suddenly, I remembered what it meant to crave. I closed my eyes briefly to relax before the next class when a familiar scent hit my nose — DIMITRI! I opened my eyes alarmingly and in the next moment, my best friend was

AZALEA ~ I can’t explain how desperately I was as I rushed into our apartment immediately the cab dropped me. I headed straight for the bath, in frustrated attempt to scrub away everything linking to Edwin Clark including the dress I threw into the burner Immediately after talking it off. I laid in the foamy bath and the scene at Clark’s office replayed in my brain again and I felt blush crept up my face. *Hey Azalea! What are you doing!* My mind yelled and I splashed the foam in my face to dismiss all thoughts even though it’s very hard. The cool water around me made me filled me euphoric relief. I sighed deeply as the memory fade from my brain. As I used my thumb to scrub my body, my hand brushed past the marks on my neck and the little ache tingled through me. Touching it brings back the memories of last night. My chest heaved in confusion. Indirectly, I’ve slept with my professor and not an ordinary one but a Vampire. “Aza!!!” I heard my mad sister’s voice rang through the
