Arden sighed as he lay on the bed, preparing for tomorrow. He shifted a little, trying to get comfortable, and slowly rested his head on the pillow. Before his eyes fully closed, the door opened. Ryder came in quietly and went straight to the bed. He leaned in and kissed Arden softly. “Good evening, Ardy,” he said in a gentle tone. Arden opened his eyes and sat up slowly. “I’m sorry I’m late. I had a lot to deal with,” Ryder continued. Arden smiled. “There is absolutely nothing to be sorry about,” he said as he moved forward and hugged Ryder. Ryder smiled and rubbed his back gently. Arden broke the hug and leaned in to kiss him. The kiss deepened, becoming warm and intense. After a moment, Ryder broke it, both of them breathing heavily. “I need to take a bath,” Ryder said, leaning in to peck Arden’s lips. Arden smiled, feeling calmer just from Ryder’s presence. He watched as Ryder walked into the bathroom. No matter what, he was determined to make their bond stronger.
