Chapter Eleven Maya’s POV “Don’t you dare walk away from me again, Alvarez!” The words ripped out of me before I could stop them. My chest was heaving, my throat raw, but I didn’t care. I wanted him to feel it, every ounce of anger, every shard of pain he had left in me. Alvarez froze mid-step. His back stiffened, shoulders rising and falling like he was trying to swallow a storm. Slowly, he turned to face me.
