Scarlett's POV The sound of Ayden's slap seemed to echo through the entire school. For a moment, nobody moved. Nobody breathed. Then, as if someone had pressed a button, the whole student body let out one big, shocked gasp. It was like music to my ears. Damn I wasn't expecting that, never knew Ayden had this side of him. Kelsey staggered back, her hand pressed against her red cheek. Her eyes were huge with pain and betrayal. She stared at Ayden as if he had ripped her heart right out of her chest. It was almost funny to watch. Slowly, I pushed myself up from the floor where I had been kneeling. I brushed the dust off my clothes. Then I did something that made every head turn toward me. I laughed. It wasn't a small, polite laugh. It was loud and real. The sound bounced off the hallway walls, breaking the heavy silence. Honestly I couldn't help it, thinking about it, it was actually funny. All around me, students were staring. Their eyes were wide with surprise. I didn't care. I t

Jaxon's POV I decided to lay in the tall grass, feeling every part of my body hurt. The sun was warm on my face but I felt cold inside. My shoulder was the worst. It felt completely wrong, like it didn't belong to my body anymore. Every time I took a breath, sharp pain shot through my chest. I tried to move my fingers on my hurt arm but nothing happened. They just hung there, limp and useless. Then I heard it, the sound of a motorcycle coming closer. The engine noise grew from a quiet hum to a loud roar. The bike stopped somewhere nearby. I heard quick footsteps running through the grass toward me. "Jaxon! Madre de Dios, Jaxon! What happened to you?" a familiar voice shouted. I forced my eyes to open. The sunlight hurt them. Standing over me was Cesar, one of the younger guys from our motorcycle family. He had joined us about a year ago but had become like a brother. He had jumped off his bike so fast that it had fallen over into the grass. He didn't even look back at it. His eyes

Victor’s POV I burst through the hospital doors like a storm that had finally broken loose. My heart was pounding so hard I could feel it in my throat, each beat sharp and angry. The cold air inside hit me like a slap, carrying that sharp hospital smell, disinfectant, medicine, and something else I couldn’t quite name. The bright white lights above made everything look too clean, too calm, while inside me everything felt messy and loud. Two nurses behind the front desk looked up at the same time. Their eyes widened the second they saw my face. I must have looked like trouble, jaw tight, fists clenched, every step fast and heavy. One nurse swallowed nervously before she spoke. “Can I help you, sir?” she asked, her voice careful, almost shaking. “I’m here for Jaxon,” I said. My voice came out rough and deep, like it had scraped its way out of my chest. “He was in a motorcycle accident. They just brought him in.” The second nurse didn’t waste a second. Her fingers began to fly over

Victor's POV She gasped loudly, her beautiful eyes wide with surprise and confusion. She tried to pull her finger from my grip, but I held on firmly. Her skin was so soft under mine, like cotton "Victor," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Let go of my hand. What's wrong with you? What are you doing?" But I couldn't release her. I knew I should be thinking about Jaxon lying in that hospital bed. I should be focused on finding the person who tried to kill him. But this girl... she made me forget everything else. She made my world stop turning. "You're confusing me," she said, finally pulling her hand away, but her eyes stayed locked with mine. "First this morning, you acted so cold during breakfast. You wouldn't even look at me. You treated me like I was nothing. Then you claim you saved my life on the road with that gun. And now you're acting like... like what the hell is this? I don't understand you at all." I ran a hand through my hair, frustrated with myself and

Kelsey's POV That bitch! The words played in my head all day long. I couldn't stop thinking about her. About Scarlett. That new girl who thought she could take everything that belonged to me. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her face. That smug smile. Those eyes that thought she was better than me. When I walked past the main stairs at school, it all came rushing back. I remembered everything that happened this morning. I remembered how she made me look like a fool in front of the whole school. Some students were whispering as I passed, and I heard one girl say, "Have you forgotten that Ayden actually slapped her because he was defending Scarlett?" Their words cut deep, but I held my head high. I wouldn't let them see how much it hurt. How Ayden chose her side instead of mine. How everyone saw me get slapped. The memory burned in my mind. I could still feel the sting on my cheek. I could still see the way everyone looked at me. The shock in their eyes. The hidden smiles. They we
