Lahat ng Kabanata ng Daddy's little princess : Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

Claire's POVNo one mentions the glances you have to be out under after you go viral on the net, especially when it turns out that you aren't someone who is used to that. It was difficult as I traipsed down the vast hallway with Wales by my side. He had insisted on being by my side, and I knew it had to do with what he had seen last night. He had insisted on getting answers on what exactly had happened last night, and I had mentioned it to him, letting him know what had transpired. He knew I was going to a company function with Jerald, but he never asked in detail what it might be about. Wales was brooding, and I could tell he was possibly overthinking things, which I was supposed to be glad about, seeing how he had always been one who didn't do such.He had never suspected Jerald, but since last night, I knew it had him wondering if he had done something wrong by being excited that I was working for his brother. "Oh, she is the one. The one who was saved by Machlina's CEO." One gi

Claire's POV Being yanked away from Jerald by Wales was the one thing I should have stood against, and I knew that should have been it when he pulled me out, making sure I was in the car before he drove away. Funny because if there had to be someone, or maybe anyone, who should be acting this way, he shouldn't be the one, not when he was the one who slept with anything under a skirt. My hands clenched on my skirt, missing his touch. Jerald had touched my hands, but that had ignited my soul, pulling everything in me toward him. I swallowed, letting my spittle run down before I flipped my head to take a look at Wales, who had come to a stop just in front of his house. "What do you think you were doing?" He demanded, his voice shivering as he did. "What do you mean by what I think I'm doing?" I questioned, amused that he would be asking me such a question, especially when he wasn't blind and could see what was going on. "Claire," he dragged in a breath before flipping his head to t

Jerald's POVWasn't it odd that I felt remorseful even when we weren't dating? When we were fuck mates who had access to each other's bodies and nothing else, why was my heart thumping so fast when her eyes fell on us? I had gazed at them, and I saw them twirling in there. The hurt. The betrayal, the pain, but she chugged them down, not wanting to let them show. "Good afternoon, boss." That was the first tick, which gave it away that she was pissed because has she ever called me boss? What I was used to was Jerald and nothing else. Then, Daddy, when she had me in her, but this was different. It felt odd and cold. Different from the Claire I was used to. "Why are you late?" I shouldn't be asking her that. I have never done that before, but it was because she had never been late, or maybe she might have been, but I haven't taken note because each time, it made me giddy having her around me. "There was an accident on my way down, so it caused a little gridlock, boss.""Are you okay?"

Claire's POV I stopped in my tracks as I flicked my head to take a look at Wales, who still stood at the door, regret coursing through him. Oh, I was tempted to go back on what I had just said, but I knew that it would be the same thing; he was never going to change, and I was too far gone with Jerald to go back at this point. I had to decide, one that had to come as fast as it could, and that was what I did. I flicked my eyes to my palm where his key poked my palm. Glancing at him, I threw it back at him, trying everything to make certain he knew that I was handing it back. My shoulders sagged when I turned on my heel, knowing that immediately I stepped away, he was going to head back in and finish what it was he had been doing. He was never going to be remorseful. He would always be the same, no matter how hard I tried. My hands ran on my face as I took steps away; I knew that I needed to be calm. I needed not to shed a tear no matter how hurt I was, but that seemed almost imp

Claire's POV I could barely sleep the night before; no matter how hard I tried , his proposal kept coming to mind. What if he was serious? What if he had meant it? I didn't know what to think or what to say, but one thing I could say for a fact was that he didn't like me. How was that even possible? For him to love me? He had said it, told me he was incapable of loving, and he had made sure I didn't think about that, so what was the change for? I would have said he had done that to keep me and have sex with me, but he had declined that as well. Was it because he was getting it from Eldora, and as such, he didn't find me appealing?"Fuck." I let out, slamming hard onto the bed because what was going on with me? I had barely ended things with Wales and was already thinking about Jerald and him wanting me, but what was I to do? What exactly was I to do at this point? Should I go over and talk to him? I should do that, but he had also said he didn't want me there today and had also men
